You wanna drive an old crappy car with shitty mpg, the environment cares for one. Like I said 50% better.
Not gonna argue that LED tech isn't hands down more environmentally friendly than the older stuff to run. That said growing up in a red state that was anything other than friendly to those that smoked we had no choice but to smoke brick weed that was smuggled in by truck. Harsh, tasted and smelled like shit but it got you high kinda I guess. I still remember the first indoor homegrown I ever smoked, it was amazing! So green, smelled so good and the high was nothing like anything I had experienced before. So for that I say thanks to the people who risked so much to grow a quality product after learning how. As we all know growing quality weed takes so much time and practice much like preparing a good meal, the dish requires a quality ingredients mixed in the right manner and then cooked according to the recipe. Ever sub a microwave when it called for a convection oven? How'd that turn out? Yes people should consider the environmental impact when growing nowadays but if you know how to use the stuff you have on hand and are willing to pay the extra cost to run it but know in the end you produce a solid product that people love and are willing to pay a price for can you blame them? Perhaps when it gets to the point that its more expensive to maintain people will consider buying something greener. LED tech requires plenty of energy to produce and owes much to the development of the smartphone which is terrible for the planet considering the amount of precious metals they require to be strip mined. Ever seen the Kennecott Copper Mine? Or perhaps the Yanacocha gold mine in South America? If you haven't google them. Be nice if the manufacturers of the LED lights would offer a cash trade in for older running or not less environmentally friendly lights and recycle them and use what they could in producing their new more earth friendly product. Its early and I'm rambling on so I'm gonna go check on my girls and smoke some good old fashioned sunshine homegrown. Peace!

HPS has no place in Denver grow ops right? The Hps Blulbs are nasty toxic, and you create a stack over a lifetime. Where you gonna stick those? Down south in a landfill next to some old shit box?

If you are broke, a good start is 4 double row F series Samsung in parallel on a 48V 320W driver.
It sounds low, but with the tent, you can push 2g/w

I'd rather would grow under HPS then under any light from Mars (or any of those other blurple lamps)
Just a general respons.
People who grew 1 pound under HPS and 2 pound under LED later, did something terribly wrong the first time :)
Sure with the same amount of Watts you would get more grams per Watt under LED.
