The Chinese Quantum Board Knock Off Builds

So they finally got back to me and stock is now very limited on the fotop lm561c boards so going for 12 with the red at 3500k as only ones they have enough in stock. Unfortunately my cards are both failing and was on phone to my credit card company for 40 minutes with no luck getting it to go through. Anyone else had trouble and how did they resolve it. I ordered a geek beast with same card no issues last week.

It's all gone through now.

After I paid she has said they are 900*184*2 even though the listing says 900*280*1.6. At this point I'm not sure what to do, 1239usd for 12 of them delivered, the 301b's I presume are the correct size and 1819usd delivered. Coverage won't be as good on the narrower boards will it and going for the newer ones is a lot more than I wanted to pay really.

Thank you to all who have contributed to this awesome thread! A lot of solid info on led technology, hardware, and DIY
I'm personally about to pull the trigger on a couple MJ650s or Geekbeasts (4x4) strictly for flowering (at 3000K).
I shall keep you updated 8-)

All.i can say is try small before you spend big $$. Depending on how youre going to setup your grow id say fotops, standard single qbs or strips combined with cmh, depending on heating conditionswill be a fairly safe bet.
Maybe try a geekbeast and a couple of cmh and see where you go from there. Its not all that easy to set things up for a big grow, even with advice from the web. Some things will allways be individual for your space and climate.
OK so they don't have many 280 width boards left. This is what they have:

1x 3000k
2x 3500k
2x 4000k
1x 3000k+5000k
3x 2700k

Other than that they are only 184 wide. Would you say not worth having the narrower ones at the same price? Coverage clearly suffers. As I want them for veg and flower is it not worth having the 2700k or 4000k boards?

Thank you.

Not only coverage, they will also need heatsinks at lower wattage. Id go for the 3000k and 3500k for fullcycle.

This is what I though thank you. Might ask for a refund as don't have much in stock I wanted and look into another alternative. Geek beast should arrive tomorrow so at least I'll have something to start.

All is well with the garden. Calcium deficiency on a few of the plants, even though I'm hitting them with calmag every watering, and have been for a while.
Plants are now in week 6 of flower so around 3 weeks left.
Plants are all fattening up nicely now and smell great. Can't say I've noticed a difference in terpene expression compared to my old hps grows tbh, but I'm sure lab analysis would pick something up should I test for it.

Hello, huys.

To make a long story short, I've let myself being f*ck*d with blurple LED lights. So here I am.

I've seen some nice kind af QB288 on AliE the have mixture of 3000k & 5000K. I have a small grow space so a 120w woulf be enought.I've read that the best for all the growing steps is 3500K.
So is that king of miw would be good? It's Samsunf LM301B LEds.

Sorry if I didn't post in the good place.

See you and thanks for your help.

What size grow space do you have? The quantum boards are good from what I gather and may be best of getting indicidual ones with different heat sinks if space requires it to avoid heat spots.

Wow allready an answer, thanks!

My growspace is a 2" * 2" (60*60*160 cm).

I am just worry that this LED mixture will be more oriented flowering than vegetative stage.

3500k will do you OK for both. I don't think you'd benefit from alibaba with such a small grow space though.

I am French, and here quantum board are really expensive, so from China it's allways a better deal.
Have you seen seen the picture I shared about the panel? What do you think about the temperature Mix?

I am also new to this but have read the whole thread, I think it would do alright, you can grow with almost anything but probably better off with 3500k. What are they quoting you all in shipped?

It’s usually wiser to stick with some more known companies which have been stated in this thread. I’m not saying that these ones won’t work or be great. You just don’t know what your getting until you get it and Alibaba can be an unforgiving place sometimes.

for full cycle I would recommend either 3000k or 3500k.

Fired up the Bava’s for a fun run during slow Covid days. I usually use this for vegetables and microgreens... plenty of room for that outside in the summer though!

DTW Coco Hand water x 2 day. Megacrop 2 part.

Pyramid Tutankhamen. And one Sweet seeds Red Mandarine all from clone.

Day 27 from flip. Comparing the x 2 water per 12 hour with 9x in the same period. 2 gallon pots.
