Due to harvest week stress I'm having a particularly horrible fucking day. Nothing major has gone wrong. Just tired and stressed. Outta nowhere my dust buster showed up today. Fully charged even. Blew my mind. Plenty of suction so now I can easily clean my tent floor and flower room floor without hauling out the monster fucking shop vac every time I need to tidy up. It's when they get crunchy and dry that they're a real pain in the dick. Shit just carpets the flower room floor and it's unnerving. Those days are over baby! :)

And also was gonna ask any differences under led far side where the 1k HPS doesn't hit it? Trying to get a first hand comparison.

Bro, don't stress. Just hang it untrimmed for a week to dry, and dry trim later. I bet you'll never wet trim again.

Final weight?
I haven't finished taking them down yet. I estimate 6-6.5

Not much difference at all. The LED's seem to impart a purple hue on the flowers that's really pretty. I'll snap some pics of Jager.

I'm going to take jager down like that. I'll string a line up in the flower room since she'll be the last to come down. I can't go through 3 days of rush trimming it. The stress is just not worth it. You're right. If it's easier I'll never wet trim again.

How do you prevent them from over drying?
I always feel rushed to wet trim before the buds are ready to be jarred a week after harvest.
Do you seal up the buds with the leafs on them still?

There's no issue with over drying unless you live in a very arid environment, and I don't. I usually just remove the large fans, and hang branches, or sometimes whole plants, for about 5 days or until they start to become crispy on the outer layer. Then I chop them up into smaller stem lengths, and pile into paper bags. I hang the bags for a few more days to a week, until completely dry to the snap, and trim at that point, then into jars. The buds will cure fine in the paper bags, it's a myth that they need to be in jars to cure. Of course if you live in a super low humidity environment, this might not work for you.

So your saying your 480 watta of LED or 600 watts i forgot what your running 4 boards though is equal to 1k DE and you save about 500 watts in electric??

Another grower here on RIU recommends "turkey bags." He harvests 30-40# at a time and uses vertical racks with trays to lay the branches out on. After they've dried he seals them in turkey bags until they can be trimmed and properly processed. I thought it was pretty ingenious.

1 LED board is 660w. The other board is 450w. 3200w of HID HPS. 4310w total output.

Whats your ambient RH when you bag dry?
I've heard of this method but never tried it.
I've always just done 1 week hang. Straight to jars, burb and turn untill I hit 60% rh

What do you mean by "bag dry?" If you're referring to the turkey bags I have not used them yet, but you're just putting them into the bags once the stems snap. Same as you would if they were manicured and ready to be tossed into jars to stop the drying process.

I dry at 50-55% RH controlled by a dehumidifier. Once stems snap they go into these large plastic containers. Burp them once a day for 5 days or so to ensure buds aren't sweating excessively and to release built up gasses / moisture. They go into permanent storage after that. Done and done.

I was referring to the brown paper bags PJ says he puts his buds in for a week after he hangs them

If you jar when your bud is properly dried, burping isn't necessary. The buds will start to cure in the paper bags once they are sufficiently dry.

My Jack's 5-12-26 25# bag arrived yesterday. I got a 5 gallon homer bucket with an orange lid with rubber gasket to store it in. Made a res last night. PH adjusted to 5.8. Checked it today. PH holding at 5.9. Clear res. Fuck it feels good to be back on Jack's. I'm not even using the remainder of my maxi products. The ability to hold a res without issues is just too convenient.

Had to make some more hash caps last night. Motherfuckers were so strong I couldn't even function this morning. Just kinda sitting in a state of comfortable confusion. Finally starting to snap out of it today ;)

Dry ice and flower sieved through a 160 micron mesh. Trim sieved with dry ice through a 120 micron mesh. Then shortly in the 160 micron for a final sweep. Decarb in the oven covered for 40 minutes @ 240. Mix with 1tsp coconut oil + 2.5ml soy lecithin per 5g of decarbed hash. Cover and bake for 20 minutes at 220. Allow it to cool. Cook again at 220 for another 20 minutes. Place your dish on a coffee pot warmer. Stir as you cap into gel caps to mix the sludgy hash in the bottom of the container with the oil and lecithin. I learned from BrassNwood @grass city:
https://forum.grasscity.com/threads/hallucinating-hash-capsules-for-hemp-heads.1428678/

I have used bubble hash before. The effects are slightly different. And whether you use dry ice made hash or ice water hash you're sure to enjoy the strong narcotic like effect.
