Autos have the potential to be bigger yeilders than photos.

Are you in the right thread? No one here was tripping. And I just started my first autos I've grown nothing but photos the last 12 years
Yes.

Yeah, I am. And I wasn't meaning any disrespect. I Baked off my ass, but not high nuff to be trippin though. was just mentioned that each person has their own grow space, climate, and hands on. Each To Their Own.

If I grow outdoors next summer, it'll almost certainly be autos. You can't trust a warmish October here anymore. Weather has become less predictable, imho. So it's either autos or a whole setup to save them from cold.
I grew in the open in MI for too long. We get hard frost in Sep some years. I plant within the shadow of a building on the West side of plants. About 14' max. It induces earlier flowering. And protects from our harsh westerly storms. Distance will change flower starts. Get a feel. And all are welcome. It works and one of my most guarded secrets while illegal.

They might yield more if you try to sync up a photo period plant and grow them for the exact same amount of time...but I doubt it. Here's the thing, this thread is only looking at production, not quality. I'm 100% certain you could find a photo period plant that will outproduce any auto if production is your only concern, because with a photoperiod plant you aren't hampering yourself by having to breed it with Siberian ditch weed. My only issue with autos is you are taking a strain with pristine genetics that people worked very hard on over the years and are dumping a steaming pile of genetic poopy on it. CBD plants are the same....Oh hey guys, lets breed this wonderful drug cannabis with hemp, what a great idea!! NO SIR, that is NOT a great idea. If you want CBD, grow hemp, don't pollute the gene pool. We already have a big enough problem with landraces either disappearing in their native ranges or with the local people interbreeding them with hybrid garbage, we don't need to take it a step further and ruin the gene pool even more.

My autos are made from Mexican ditch weed. I have standards.

It's not by accident that the impressive plants that inspired this thread have come about. Auto breeders have done good work too.

The fact that they finish sooner than photos means it takes breeders much less time to improve and stabilise genetics too. At some point autos will have seen more generations of development than photos...

Yeah but they spend a lot of time bringing the strain back like meph said awhile back anyone putting out an auto in less than 2 years isnt doing it right.

Their shit is top notch all around - potency, yield, terps, bag appeal, etc.

And they aren't the only ones killing it just the most popular

I tried growing them previously (abrupt end) but a lot has changed since then.

Now i'm looking for more than yeild, taste/quality/predictability, yeild isn't so important.
Without predictable quality I'm wasting/gambling my money, good phenos are already a rarity without chasing one on every crop.

But that's just me I can understand the attraction of them especially so for less experienced growers/tokers.

Yeah true. I'm terrible at growing. :(

I was going to create a new thread but everything in the tent is winding down. One small auto and two photos left in there. I culled 2/4 of the photos. Just took much work for me right now.

Maybe this fall. 28.35's Shit Show. Lol
I didn’t see where anyone said you’re terrible at growing? Can’t you tag me in it?

However I did point out that you’ve grown a total of 4 cannabis plants in your life but are acting like you’ve grown hundreds of different strains and telling people who actually have grown hundreds that their wrong and you’re right

Have a fabulous weekend
