My auto flower is too small and already started flowering

Well, not surprisingly, my auto flower is about 10 -15 cm tall and already started flowerin in its 5th week.
I believe this is because during the first week, it had a stunt in growth due to the fact it was growing upside down and I didn’t notice it till after one week. And it still survived after flipping it up but it did lose a bigger part of its root system.
Worth mentioning, this is my first time ever growing anything.

My question, should I cut the small leaves which are not receiving any light? Or it won’t matter anyway, I ain’t gonna get any yield should start another seed already? 714AD405-D0BD-4629-B03B-B7DD8ACEE15C.jpeg
I guess Autor flowering will start flowering no matter what in their 5th-4th week which explains the size :(

any insight is highly appreciated!

You just learned why starting with autos for your first grow is a bad idea.
I wouldn't expect much in yield.
Yup, I somehow agree, autflowers can’t adapt to problems they go through fast, and so they Produce less yield and so on,
I was highly advised to start with Autos /:

How was it growing upside down for a week unnoticed? xD

for 5 weeks that’s very small. That’s like a 16 day old healthy auto.

I take it your light isn’t very efficient?

Yea bro xD, I never grew anything before and I honestly thought the leaves will form some how, out of the white “stem” which seemed to only “bend” towards the earth. Which now I realize it was trying to tell me I “fucked up” or in this sense”down” :p

i am using 45W 225 LEDS grow light, I think it’s alright no? With 18H”sun”

was it only the first week is the reason why it’s so small or what went wrong :(

i guess I shouldn’t cut any of the small leaves under
Maybe my experience could help other people out

No don't cut the leaves. That's only for when you really need more air and light.
Nothing you can do now besides your best
She is really small for 5 weeks, even for a week of issues.
Maybe considering upgrading your light

I agree, it is way too small, and I’m way too inexperienced, so, it’s only light problems? Which type of light would you suggest for a one plant ?

Looking good though!
Don’t judge, but I used “tomato” bio medium grow, which a friend told me he used it and it was fine for him.
Now I’m learning from my mistakes, I want to change to Light mix biobizz, read good reviews
But alternative to 45W Led can I use? Which is better? And not expensive electricity wise

thanks for all the replies guys!

It is NOT a bad idea to grow autos.... The same thing would have happened if you had planted a photo seed upside down... That could have happened to anyone... Just start another plant and don't let these people discourage you from growing autos, cause that's what they try and do... Shut all the haters up by growing autos and photos... Good luck grow bro!!!

5th week is normal to start flowering for autos. What’s not normal is your size.

look into organic soil. Plain tap water for the first ~30 days. Pretty hard to mess up

Get dem wattzzup :bigjoint:
Yup, Wattzzup hit it on the head. After 30 years on and off only growing synthetic, this years I went full on organic living soil. Damn  I can't believe how great it can be. Just water and maybe a tea or2 for a boost, I've NEVER had such an amazing grow. Easy and fun, good luck...

I’ve started trying to recycle mine by just adding the 4-4-4 after I harvest. I leave it in the tent for a month or so then plant again.

Sounds as simple as the rest, awesome. Are you going no till? In a month I'll have enough used soil to recharge. I'm running a perpetual harvest in 2 and 3 gallon pots. Maybe you could give me some tips here? I have the technical data but, not this experience, yet :eyesmoke:...stay cool..

Thanks bro! Love the energy here
Soo, quick question probably with an obvious answer,
Can you ever use the same medium for another plant? Meaning the old medium and using it again?

I’ll switch to BioBizz light mix, saw good reviews on it and it’s organic!
I will start a new one on Monday, and I’m wondering,
Do I, just for the beginning, put it under “normal sunlight” near a window or just right away with with grow light?

That small container is what did it. Roots find boundaries and autos start flowering.
