house on fire? he didn't plan on coming home.

he should've signed over his house like the Nashville Bomber did..another missed opportunity.
It's an everyday occurrence in America and not even newsworthy anymore. Solving the issue by regulating guns and owners will be news though, that can only happen federally and only if the democrats gain a big enough majority in the house and senate. There is enough public support, even in red states, for them to run hard on this issue in 2022, or so say some political pundits and analysts.

As things stand now, a 1/6 commission, HR-1, voting rights, limited police reform and infrastructure, are all that can be hoped for. The democrats need to double down on gaining control of more state houses, holding the house and trying to gain a few senate seats. That might be a problem for them in 2022 since there are many moral failures and shitheads in America. Discrediting and even jailing republican politicians seems to make no difference to their voters, neither does corruption, stupidity, or even treason. The republican politicians can look their voters in the eye and tell them they are gonna fuck them right to their faces, but as long as they blow the dog whistle too, that's all their voters hear.

Governor Gavin Newsome says 'what's going on'? the answer is this and it's been going on.

most killed were not white; (shift change double points) just like the recent FedEx shooter, in case anyone hasn't noticed.

There is little a state can do about this issue, gun laws need to be national to be effective, when you can mail order or cross state lines to buy one. Prohibit mailing or shipping guns and ammo, except to federally licensed gun dealers would be a start, but there's much that can be done. The democrats need to gain power for anything to change on multiple fronts, the republicans are blocking almost everything of any importance, even things that a super majority support, like gun control.

You will always have these crazies, but you can keep them out of power and disarm them too, especially the violent ones, or those on a domestic terrorist watch list.

when it's easier to get a gun than ceramic cans for concentrate from the vape place in another state, we've got a problem.

would you believe i had to do an ID.me AND PAY for Adult Signature, to purchase something i purchase all the time?

fvcking DeSantis.

That's why the "Chicago has tough gun laws bit lookit all that murder, gun laws don't work" argument is so frustrating. You barely notice when you have left Chicago and entered Indiana....where it's super easy to get firearms.

As a kid I did like that you could get fireworks year round.
move to Wyoming all that and driving open bottle 24/7/365- awaits you!

Lol...merica fuck yeah.

If I lived in Wyoming I would create a fireworks rocket launcher and just shoot at random shit driving down the road.

No kidding, that is hilarious. I have not been there, maybe over the summer. Planning to go to Utah to hit moab and the various beautiful spots.

Also...I would shoot a windmill with a bottle rocket. That's just mini golf obstacles. Make it through the windmill and hit a buffalo...you win a cowboy hat.

It might be wrong, but my guess would be that Biden knows 2022 and 2024 elections are too important to our democracy to not at least show nonstop the insurrectionist/Republican's obstruction to everything that we as a nation need to get done to be as successful as possible.

Gun control isn't a great issue for dems, there isnt really a unified view. Dems on the coasts might back it, but midwest and southern ones don't. It isnt a far left vs centrist thing, large chunks of both fall in each camp. There does seem to be an urban vs. Rural divide on the issue, and while it follows the trends, I don't think the dems should alienate those voters.

Guns are a mess, there isnt a good solution there. Maybe pump resources into mental health, but at this juncture society seems broken and I think will continue to break people

FOR WHAT?????????they don't give a flying fuck Hanimmal..c;mon already. if you think that Biden will go back and say 'we tried..be on our team?' is going to make them change their mind you're forgetting something- we are at war with them and it's gone from Cold War to Internet War to Daily Shooitng Civil War as many of those 'who don't look like us' as possible..day after day after day.

Can you see now? this is small scale ethnic cleansing with suicide mission mindset from Trumpism Radicalization.

Amazon had a shooting in Florida last year and now this.

If they don't pass HR-1 and voters rights, nothing much will matter, considering what the red states are doing to move the goal post, change the rules and suppress the vote. Even if they win, they will still lose in many states.

As Stalin said and as one of the republican architects of this current bullshit quoted at a GOP meeting:
"It's not the people who vote that count, it's the people who count the votes."

Who are you talking about that you think Biden is going to say that to that doesn't give a flying fuck?

Any meaningful gun control is not going to pass, the best we can hope for is national buybacks and universal background checks.

This war is a game of inches at the moment unfortunately. And giving Republican insurrectionists the ability to show clips of Democrats saying stupid shit like this:

Everything from pollution, schools that are not poisoning our children, energy dependence, voting rights on and on are on the line if the Republicans can gain back control in DC. They are playing on decades long scales, and the Democrats are about 30 years behind figuring this out.

Voting matters, sure the red states are hardening their voting laws to stop their citizens from being able to easily vote and it will take years to fix the messes that these traitorous Republicans have done to our democracy.

Mental health would be great to work on and totally agree that it's a mess with no good(or easy) solutions. Unfortunately, it's like homelessness, in that there are a hundred paths people have taken to losing their shit and a hundred paths people have taken to accessing weapons, which means that addressing the issues is just as complex. There are who-knows-how-many thousands of gun control laws and I don't think there's any metric that shows mass shootings are slowing down anytime soon. This society does not manufacture a top quality product.

Then why change who counts the votes and runs the elections? Close elections where the republicans lose will be stolen elections and suppressing the vote is a way to make elections close in many places. This is about majority rule, at the ballot box and in the senate, one without the other makes the whole process a sham and meaningful change impossible.

If these kinds of people attain power, they will not give it up without a physical fight, unless compelled to by the courts. Because they will put the veneer of legality on the process of stealing elections, the courts can do nothing. Over 400 pieces of voting legislation are being introduced or passed as law in states by the republicans, since the beginning of the year and there is a coordinated plan behind this, it's not spontaneous.

good news! Denver now has STAR team that goes out on the call for Mental Health, Domestic etc. They're mental health workers and went on almost 800 call all resolved with no police interaction:clap:

this is how it will change because police are Racist Neanderthals that get to legally lie..President Reagan is responsible for starting this..now we end it.
