I do. Generally speaking, it's not required but it's a good idea to make room for fruits on plants.

I've actually gotten WAY better results with tomatoes, for example, if i clean them of tangled or unnecessary foliage. But, i also understand plants on a most basic level so I try not to rape them of their extremities.

I mean, we're not growing landrace varietals on a prairie, most of are trying to get dank nugs in a closet. Quit pretending it's a "natural" process, do whatever is needed to optimize your own environment.
