Most Powdery Mildew resistant strains?

Great white shark from ghs had some superior mold resistance for me.
Used to grow her outdoors and right beside her other strains got pm bad and she wasnt affected. It's true that some strains are more susceptible to pm and others ward it off. I've seen the same with spider mites and aphids. (Btw mites hated the shark they wouldnt touch it). Any plant (if vulnerable) can get pm or bugs but some plants show greater resistance to certain factors.

If i didnt know better, I'd think my climate was specifically made to test for resistance.

Preventive measures are the best defense for PM. I spray the entire yard with a potassium silicate/sesame oil foliar weekly during the growing season. Sesame oil is a natural fungicide used in several commercial organic products and potassium silicate raises the pH making it inhospitable for PM to take hold and grow. I had no PM on my outdoor cannabis, cucumbers, pumpkins, squash, or roses all which are PM magnets. Citric acid is also effective against PM as well by lowering the pH.

You are correct about the bud rot. Strains with denser flowers are going to be more susceptible. Here in the PNW it's just part of growing outside.
Just reminded me about your sesame suggestion (previously). Have some seedlings in the wings to veg.
@mudballs - I hear ya. I forget, or maybe never asked- no greenhouse, or rain cover?
I finished the last of my summer ones in a small gh with a slapdash exhaust and little SpiderFarmer LED for a little extra. Switched to just H2O2 (no citric) for final flower and got good results- no PM, and just snipped a few small tops that aged-out (got botrytis, ha).
I’ve no real good advice that hasn’t been said (genetics…) but I’m interested in your question as well.

no greenhouse or cover, no, straight doses hour after hour of raw sun, wind, and rain in the open. forced to live or die....i love it. it's also a bit fun to sacrifice the plants to the elements, you see a side of "growing" not really reproducible...idk im rambling. i have a half greenhouse that i shelter weak stuff before going out fulltime, but no lights or nothing to sustain growth

Totally understand. I have a stand-alone that came from great (indoor) genetics that did really impressive against bot-mold at first but never really chunked up in flower, and is now an experiment to see if any individual branches will survive the massive onslaught of noble-rot- in which case I may take a couple clones, or get some seeds through rodelization to experiment with.
Other than that- I’m still loving this Kwazulu strain- for it’s resistance, flavor and high, and that very few have even heard of it. It’s not a “pornstar” as my friend Megan would put it, but one with a great character, as well as sparkly presence.

how many different powdery mildew are there
700 species
Current estimates suggest that there are nearly 700 species of powdery mildews, classified in about 15 genera and occurring on 7600 species of Angiosperms. No Gymnosperms are known to be hosts.

jeez im so screwed, i like Texas, but for all their favorable attributes, there's still fkn backward idiots in charge so i can't even contact my Universities and talk about this stuff yet. Entire country is down with the sickness, but im stuck in hillbilly hell unable to get shit done properly for years to come while i wait for these dipshits to figure out a plant is ok to grow.

I haven't had PM for 25 years of growing then last year I bring in some clones for the first time and they carry the PM into my grow tents. I had 3 grows under an H2O3 generator before the plague resided.

I just grew Kali Mist, which is suppose to be PM resistance, and had no problems.

.
Same thing happened to me a few years ago. Purchased a batch of clones from some LA "breeders". Split them with a friend of mine. His clones ended up having root aphids and PM. Mine had PM. Had never had to deal with it before. I had to purchase an ozone generator and let it do it's thing in my work space and flowering rooms. I also marinated everything in bleach.

Wait till you guys see the video of me actually planting a cola and some nugs in the ground and then I got to leave em there all year

That must be a Texas thing lol
Its to get the strain acclimated to this regions growing season and cycles. After 3 to 5 yrs constantly outdoors they will know when our spring starts, wont germ early or late. They'll know when our fall starts so they wont start flowering early or late.

I'm trying to help you? Those 2 strains are very PM resistant.
No im talking about all that other nasty shit ur running around here doing. You got some smarts in that noodle, then a switch gets flipped or something and you go mental...wtf man? I want more of that helpful side around here
