I believe the police force and military will improve because of Covid denial.
For the first time in forever, covid surpassed car wrecks in the top cop killing spot. How long do you think an officer would last if he realized wearing seat-belts was against his religion?

I've heard if you get the virus and live through it your immune system is like superhuman. . . . . . . .
Early we thought this might be the case. The wild (original) virus burned through all the river towns in Brazil very fast. Most everyone caught it, and when they got better, life went on pretty much as it had pre-covid. But when a new strain came up the river, all those folks were catching it and dying in large numbers. So not the case in actual real world situation when dealing with a different variant.

But the good news is folks who have had the 'Rona can get the vaccine after waiting 30-90 days. Those people have the highest antibody count of anyone.

It's science, Bro.

If only more people were vaccinated, we'd be done, right?
We'd be in a lot better place. The only consolation is that most of those dying are unvaccinated. That's a plus in my books, removes variant breeders from the population, and removes antivaxx conspiracy theorist nuts from voter rolls...win/win from that aspect. Now if we could just get hospitals to agree to not treat the unvaccinated for covid, that would almost be problem solved.

cool story and imagination you have. Pretty sure I said I was done in this thread.

go eat pretend food and claim others make you sick.

gotta run for a little, got a ~story for you when I get back

edit to say, my story time may or may not happen. telling stories can be very time consuming and it's hardly worth it here.

These are accounts of my "stories".

Pays to keep recent history in mind. One of the reasons you aren't speaking German at your local 7/11 is the fact that your grand parents sacrificed for their community and for you. This pandemic is no different than that war except that more have died during the pandemic.

You do know that people come into and leave states all the time right? People who may not themselves be vaccinated? You know that the vaccine protection fades? And you know that last year hospitalization and death rates were huge? Remember that? Figuring some 40 million have gotten sick, figure that many more have not reported being sick that still leaves over 200 million who, according to your implication, should still be crowding the er.

Please explain the mechanism behind this process. How would the vaccine work to keep the virus here and dangerous.

And "so called"? It is a vaccine and called such.
The process is called antibody dependent enhancement, and it's been a problem with corona virus vaccines.

It's a so called vaccine because they changed the definition of vaccine to include it. A true vaccine prevents infection and transmission.

That's kind of what had to happen for my antivax friend. Had to get sick before he believed it was real, while still reluctant, at least it convinced him he didn't want to go through that again.

"They" changed the "definition" ?

"
a substance used to stimulate the production of antibodies and provide immunity against one or several diseases."

What would you rather call this "so called" substance that stimulates the production of antibodies against a particular pathogen?

If COVID-19 vaccines caused ADE, people who are vaccinated against COVID-19 would have more severe disease. This is not happening. On the contrary, people who are vaccinated typically have very mild disease or none at all.

…Go, be free, lesbian seagull.
You are new but I like you already. In addition to quickly ferreting out the sheer ridiculousness of a a couple of Qtard posters, you worked in an obscure Beavis and Butthead reference. Nice work.

My spouse works in food services for a school district. Like any profession, there’s a mix of rational lunch ladies and Qtard conspiracy theory ones who have hopelessly decended down the “do your own research” rabbit hole. The Qtard group claims they are ready to leave their jobs if the vax mandate is upheld. In the meantime, there’s a Covid outbreak among the unvaccinated group right now. It’s hard to feel much sympathy, but hopefully they all recover. Explaining this shit to our kids is very hard.
