Small budz last day of week 5? New light time? Suggestions?

Increases in photosynthesis of leaves remaining after defoliation may result from shifts in leaf photosynthetic characteristics or from an improved light penetration in the canopy. However, few studies have tried to estimate the relative contribution of these factors to mitigating the negative effects of defoliation. We present a quantitative framework for such an analysis.

There. Easy peasy, Einstein.

2008. And crap like this is interesting. Not a surprise for those of us who selectively thin or defoliate. We aren't doing it for fun.
Hmm. I never really considered the impact of fan leaves blocking fan leaves. I was thinking more along blocking bud sites and their leaves. I wonder what percentage of potential photosynthesis energy is lost by shading each other vs. plant energy used to grow the leaves.

I try to selectively defoliate a couple or 3 leaves every couple day days till light is hitting most of the plant evenly. I try not to shock the plants.

Bro I think you could have used a bit more lst on those runtz and less defoliation next time but you have a while yet and they do look tasty. Next grow you'll have em dialed in. You will like that light too

These guys here will get you straight. They helped me save a terrific plant that I had written off. Just ignore the idiots. The for real peeps make sense when they converse. And give advice not hate

Hey bk, I have a question for you. I was laying a photo I'm growing and cracked a big branch at the stalk. I took a pipe cleaner and wired it back tight. Anything else I can do?

I was hoping you'd say that . I got a little too happy (and high) with the lst and heard that sickening crack. But Roger that. Thanks man !

Those are my favorites. Every time iv had those little buds. 100% of the time has been the best example of any strain iv had.
They’re usually the easiest trims too, love me some ball shaped nugs, enough light and kelp and they rock up like golf balls. This strain here throws em out like that and she’s one of my faves

beautiful man!

Yeah. With good training. Yield shouldn’t be affected. I love the bag appeal

5 weeks from flip is not the same as 5th week of flower.
If you’re counting, you should count from the end of stretch.
So more like 2-3 weeks in flower so far.

Why do we need to "Define" which counting method is better and offend some? List counts both ways.
I prefer counting days from the flip. I use CFL 400W Equals for veg, and LED for Flower. 68 days at 12 hours until harvest. For me.
No counting method is better.
but both are completely different. The plants flowering time is 65-75 days. It’s not 12/12 time 65-75 days. Transition takes 5-10 days. Sometimes longer. That’s a huge amount of difference when ripening. No one’s intentions are to offend. But rather be clear when it comes to very sensitive material. Like time flowering.

Strongly disagree. Some strains will stretch well after flowering has started. How does one even pinpoint the day that stretch ended?

The plant doesn’t start flowering at flip.
If you’re gonna count, start 2 or 3 weeks into stretch.
Then your 9 week strain will finish “on time”.
