I defoilate my plants in early veg/flower but it's the buffer zone for the plants so you should only do it if you know what you're doing and I don't strip every fan leaf off the plants, only remove what I have too.
This is why I don't think Neoliet should remove any leaves at this stage, he's more likely to do the plant damage and slow the growth down.
Not having a dialed in set up leaves you less room for issues, if you defoilate often or before a fertigation issues.

Removing branches and new nodes is pretty safe. Desired affect seems to be multiple single colas

If your goal is to make those main tops the only budding branches, then yes removing lower new nodes will help the main shoot.

If I were you I'd cut the one you can't see and leave the one seen to grow to be a another top
Interesting, yes my main goal is to get those 16 huge equal main colas. Also this strain has big fan leaves, with 16 main tops, I think the canopy is already pretty full in my 2x4…

Keep removing nodes, but don't do it ever day, do it ever 5 or 6. Watch the response from.your plant. Guage it's reaction based in all the other weeks of pruning and tying down.(that all counts as experience if you are eating attention)

I can tell you we removed nodes from mothers to get huge cuts for mom.plants. one of the thing we did was remove all nodes keep all fan leaves... made the top cuts shoot and thicken up much more then branches we defanned

Mainlining is not dumb. Don't let people tell you how to feel about your chioces.

2835 is just toxic cause he can't manipulate you.

You may fail, you may succeed, it may all be mediocre or amazing but you will learn.
I never said mainlining was dumb. I said it was a waste of time.

Maybe I should have qualified my statement. Mainlining is a waste of time if your are after equal results quicker.

I have removed the small side shoots and all the lower fan leaves on plants similar to this, you lose the buffer zone but you do get loads of single main cola's, but its a gamble.

No. My point was that you can get big fat colas without doing a mainline. Why 6 weeks? Your already past 8.

Nor do I care about organic. To each their own, I'm simply pointing out there are better methods if you are after quicker results.
OMG, okey dude. Please stay away from now..

You can spend a few weeks mainlining a plant or 3 months
I have never followed a mainline tutorial because you can get the same results topping, lst and thing the plant out and removing the fan leaves as you need to, this is a good example, 3.5 weeks in veg(2-3 weeks in flower 12/12), looks like mainline, 10 days in flower.jpg

Where 2835 cries like fat kid with no ice cream cone when people chid him or stalk him like he does to others

Grow journals are the only sections where posting is specifically prohibited without permission.

I don't see any crying going on except from the OP now.

No one said you're plants won't grow, or that they won't flower. What we are saying is flipping an immature plant means it's not going to start flowering for a while, could be up to 2 weeks depending on a lot of things, and it's flower will not be ripe when you have to cut it down. Don't forget you need 7-10 days to dry it, then prob a half day of trimming, which means you have about 7 weeks from now based on your original post.

Also, if you don't want people to comment on your posts, do a journal. The rest of the forum is open to everyone.
