Yes or no: Can you tell if a seed is male or female?

I know someone on the Internet said it’s possible but I have never heard of it until a few months ago, so I have doubts.

Full disclosure: my wife watched the video and planted four seeds that she expects to be male and use as pollen donors. Frankly I would rather have the usual 50/50 mix because the males are only good for breeding and leaf extracts.

There are testing services that can analyze leaf samples for sex but it costs about $10-20 a sample.

There's a chart floating around that supposedly shows what a male or female seed looks like. It's pure bovine dung.

This is the chart and it's complete nonsense. Pure fiction. There is no science to back this up and should be considered completely false.

I looked at a couple hundred feminized seeds I made and found seeds to match everything on that chart. Even though all the seeds were guaranteed female that chart would have had me discard half of the seeds even though they were all feminized. Just more cannabis broscience.

Still means you need to pop the bean, then wait... wait.... and then you can find out which is male.
But by that time, your plants would already be showing sex, you are alittle irritated you wasted the money for someone to tell you what is visually obvious

Yeah I found female flowers on some seedlings that were still getting 24-hour light. I like it when that happens because then I know to go ahead and clone the plant.
