Curing with grove bags ….question

That American between them and mason jars with humidity packs those end up making the weed way better I’ve heard from reviews on this website those Grove bags because they maintain temperature between 6858 and 62 humidity and they have some special like Turpin terpins reactor I don’t know

So how I do it is which ones do you get 58% humidity can you send me a picture of the ones you get on the site I guess I’ll get a few half pound ones but are they all the same For curing marijuana?

Marketing GImmick just order some normal mylar bags from dragonchewer or something. "Grove Bags" are nothing special you're paying for the brand.

I searched grove bags and found this and some other threads. Was trying to figure out if I should use them or jars. Is my first time and I already have the mini hygrometers for the jars. If it's only about ease I'll stick with the jars for a few drys then I'll move onto bags. But if the bags create a superior product then I'm in. Just wanted to see what you think of them. I mean I saw your endorsement, I just wanted to ask

It's good to have the hygrometers even if you use grove bags-you can put one in the bag and see it through the window. You don't need to use the bags, but for myself, I actually just ordered 10 more 1/4 and 1/2 lb bags to last my next several grow cycles. Also, whether or not you need to "burp" them depends on how moist the buds are when they go in-you can't put overly moist buds in and expect the bags to dry them for you. I like to put them in at 55% (58% would be fine too) because I think the lower RH preserves the terpenes better. Right now is my least favorite time of the year to dry buds because the temps are hot and my indoor RH can get low real fast-so just try your best to dry at 70 deg or lower and 55% RH-the further away from those #s you get, the more your final product will suffer-see if you can stretch out your dry to 10 days (that's about as good as I hope for during the summer). Some people don't even grow during the summer because the drying is such a PITA. My buds from my last grow cycle have been in grove bags for the last couple of months and they are by far the terpiest and freshest buds I've grown in a long time, probably ever. You can always try a jar of buds alongside your bags and see how they compare after curing. This is one new product I actually believe in because the results are so good. I tried them for the first time on my most recent harvest. I bought a combo pack of various sizes ( a few 1 oz bags and a few 1/4 lb bags) on Amazon. Price was minimal so I went for it. I've always cured in jars but hey you never know until you try. the first thing I noticed was the bags are small, especially since you are supposed to leave air space in the top. I went ahead and stuffed em after the buds were dried to 62%. And I heat sealed them as recommended. they've been curing since mid May, so when I bust em open ill know how they worked. Ill report back. One good thing is you don't have to go through the burping process like with jars. The bags are different from regular Mylar in that there are several layers and supposedly one way breathable. Honestly the reviews I've read are mostly positive with the negative ones coming from people who haven't tried them, which is pretty common. New things scare a lot of people. Like I said ill report back how they worked when I open mine up.

This was damn helpful. I came home from work and started researching again looking for the info that was in this reply. I just hadn't checked RIU yet. I get what you're saying about it depending on how moist they are going in. I've got mini hygrometers and I'll use them to check what they are going in. Man I got super lucky and with 2 window ac units and a dehu cranked the tent has stayed around 61-63° with rh in the lower 60's. Today's the 7th full day and nothing is snapping yet. My next 3 days are off work, so I'm hoping they'll be ready by Thursday, but I don't know what to expect. I'm going to get the grove bags. I only grew 2 plants. They weren't big, I'd be surprised if I harvest more than 4oz. I'll guess I'll go with 1oz bags. What's the difference between them and other way cheaper mylar bags? I tried to dm but I may not be able to yet. I couldn't find it. Thanks again bro.

Thanks bro that was super helpful. I'm going to go for it. I'll get 4 1oz bags for the 4oz I'm figuring I'll get. And whatever doesn't go in I'll put in jars. So there is a difference between grove bags and other mylar?

Yes there are multiple layers of sheets apparently. Somehow the humidity is pulled out of the inside of the bags by the breathable material the bags are made of. The Grove bag website explains it better than I ever could. I read as much as I could find about them before I took the plunge. I read reviews, both good and bad, and tried to form my decision. Bottom line is that they didn't cost much, and I didn't have much weed to put in them either. So I wasn't risking much either way. Like I said, I haven't opened mine yet to check my bud. Im in the running for a new job so its been 6 weeks curing so far, and I'm not sure when ill be able to sample any. It sounds like the bags are good for long term storage also, so that's a plus in my book. They are a bit small and you are supposed to leave headroom in the bags. Not full to the brim. So that's a factor too. Good luck! I hope they work out for both of us.
