and require a permit to purchase any gun
So any can be taken away. You got alot of trust in the gov all of a sudden for a lot of old hippies lmao
Oregon is taking gun control to the ballot box this year. How virtuous you oregonians are. Ive been living in agreeance to those and more since 85 when i got my first. Glad you guys are finally getting around to a vote
I understand from other posts of yours that reading comprehension is either outside of your skill set or your ability to read is clouded by your unreasonable fear that your guns are about to be taken away.

So, I hope you can stay rational for a few moments when I explain. The measure does not say people who own guns must have a permit. It says to purchase any gun the purchaser must have a permit. One cannot take away a gun that was not purchased.

Your fear is clouding your mind or perhaps you are just plain stupid. It's hard to tell the difference.

We're going to make it a requirement for gun owners to have an insurance policy too. It would be very simple to base premiums on violent crime rates. Gun owners in red states would pay more.
that is exactly how insurance works for homes, vehicles, even health insurance...if you live in a high risk area, you pay more...

Good, then you should have no problem a prohibition on firearms either. I mean...it wont be no problem, because you will be vocal and cry a lot about it. But it shouldn't effect you in any way, after all...30 years right?
It wont I’ll get them illegal and untraceable like before the dems took them away….

it's really not that....lets put it this way remember the DC sniper, or have you heard of the UT massacre...most of what they did was with this type of weapon......js
Then ok your against any rifle. Just say it . How many times did the dc sniper shoot more than once? Just curious

One of the main differences between guns and weed has got to be the peculiar absence of teenagers furtively trying to grow a gun in their suburban closets under some swiped desk lamps.

We who ? red states ? Lol detroit chicago new york
Ya bud just red states lol
there are 393 million guns in the us, ouside of law enforcement and military weapons.
there are 146, 487 guns registered in the entire state of Illinois. if you double that and cram all of them into Chicago, you'd still only have 293,000
65, 432 registered guns in the entire state of Michigan, double that and cram all of them into detroit, and that is 131,000
76, 207 in NY state. same deal, comes to 153,000. add all of that together and you have 577,000 subtract that from 393,000,000 and you get 392,423,000....so where are those other 392 million guns at? most of them are in the hands of white rural men, mostly in the central south or the north west. clan/proud boy/fascist fuckface asshole territory...

https://www.pewresearch.org/social-trends/2017/06/22/the-demographics-of-gun-ownership/

"Besides demographic differences, clear partisan divides emerge when it comes to gun ownership. Republicans and Republican-leaning independents are more than twice as likely as Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents to say they own a gun (44% vs. 20%). This partisan gap remains even after controlling for demographic differences."
sound pretty red state to me...

I think it would be a mistake to disarm as there is a good chunk that won't and they wish to do you harm. Not a great situation.
