I'm always down to watch some white widow, are you using the stink bud veg tote setup? I'm also doing a White Widow, from Nirvana Seeds. I Started with 5 beans on August 3rd this year, on the third crop now with a bunch of clones off of the 4 females i got out of 5 seeds. Really good smoke, makes me sleepy ;)

Yes, that is one awesome system Stinkbud's come up with. I still have to get another pump for the flowering system and I seem to have lost the fucking cord/transformer to my fogger ...and my pH down! WTF?? :wall: Oh well, not bad for RO ("regular ole") tapwater and no pH adjustment, huh?

Yeah he def put the light bulb on top of my dome with his setup. I've got everything in for mine, just waiting on my girls in dirt to get out of the way so i got room in my Veg tent to change over. Most expensive part of the whole setup was that damn timer! i've got about $140ish in it now for the Veg and flower units with pumps, pvc, misters and timer. I did change mine to a 20 site with 4 posts 3 ft long, 5 sites each post to fit in a 4x4 tent.

I am going to make my 42" posts with 4 holes each. I would love to squeeze in that extra hole but I think the 4 would suffer for the sake of having one more. That makes the center of each hole 6" from the end and 10" (center to center) from the next. How do you like your timer? I found mine to be less than dead on accurate. Also, since the sprayer nozzles do not give a super fine mist I'm beginning to worry about my stalks rotting since the rapid rooters are soaking wet all the time. I have my timer set to 15 seconds on (just changed it from 45) and somewhere between 5 and 15 off.

Looking good!

Saw you were looking for blueberry... I just germinated 2 blueberry from The Attitude Seedbank.. they are Dutch Passion and supposedly from the famous 70's blueberry genetics, but of course it's probably not as good as StinkBuds! Anyway, both seeds germinated just fine!

I too am just waiting for my dirt bitches to get out of the way so I can use SB's system. I'm using 6' posts with 10 sites each, 20 per unit.. they are only spaced 6" apart, but I don't plan on vegging... true sea of green.. gonna try it anyway.

Good luck with the grow!

subscrizzled.

Kratose I pulled off the back cover, thinking about doing the same thing but about fainted when I saw all the time it would require to solder 216 connections, not to mention getting those big-ass LED's. These are not the small ones you find in flashlights. For a set of three, I didn't think $400 was bad considering the money they will save me over using a 400w. I could half the distance I have the lights above the plants and still be very safe but since they are growing three times as fast as my last two grows, I'm happy. You want updates, you got em. Notice that the one plant (typical of all) was 6.5" wide yesterday and today it's over 7.5" wide! There is one plant that is really strange; it's got the two seedling leaves but no true leaves. It has roots dangling about 3" long into the air from the net basket. I didn't pick up the rez lid today but yesterday the roots were nearly a foot long and covered with tiny white hairs.

Yeah thats very true. It is alot of soldering, I know I have done it. And yeah, if those are the bigger leds you probably would not save to much building your own. So not a bad deal in the end.

Thats awesome though, I can't wait to see the end results. I will be watching. Happy growing

Well i'll let ya know how the 5 holes do, i don't think they'd suffer much, with my White Widow, it's so sativa dom and lanky arms you can bend and weave and basically scrog it off it's neighbor, lol
I got an Encore Brand Timer, it's still in the air somewhere headin this way.
Here's the link to my WW Nirvana Grow Journal it goes back a few months but is complete from seed.

As far as I can tell, stink doesn't use rapid rooter. He just cover the tops with neoprene and let the roots hang.

Ahhhhhh, so my concerns are valid! Thanks Untitled1.

Well, two more days have passed and they are growing like crazy still. The roots are very impressive with little hairs everywhere. I cut back on the watering/feeding cycle to about 30 seconds; they can only get so wet.

which LED did you use and how far do you plan to get with it?why?
I bought them from HTG Supply (where I buy almost everything I need). I'm thinking that I'll use my 400w HPS for flowering but I'm still going to see how the LED's perform during that period. I've heard so much smack-talk from people that have never used them, parroting what other non-users have said, poo-pooing LED's, that it makes me want to do a full scale experiment. I could care less if I get smaller, fluffier buds for the experiment; at least I would know for sure rather than taking someones word for it. It's a fact that HPS has a lot more lumens but, like humans taking vitamins, that's not the whole story; the light's wavelength is much more important to the plant, just as absorption is much more important to our bodies. You can take 3,000 mg of a certain vitamin (cheap ones) and your body not even be able to absorb and use as much as if you take 500 mg of a higher quality vitamin. These bulbs not only put out the exact wavelength the plants use, they are bright!

Since I'm following Stinkbud's system of getting a harvest every 3 weeks, I certainly won't miss a little bit bud by going the distance with the LED's - if I miss any at all. Who knows for sure, right? We'll see.

Wow thats pretty expensive for light emitting diiodes. But then again, your getting it pre built. I have much experience with LED's, (Non Growing) and to tell you the truth, I never thought of using them for growing. Its a great idea, and would be very very very cheap if you built it your own. All you really need to know is how to solder, how to tell + from - and ofcourse, setting up the powersupply.

Maybe I should build my own? This is great though, I really can't wait to see your results. I would give you rep again if I could, lol. Thats just awesome.

When will you be putting up update pics?

If you do build them, let us in on the plans as you go. I would like to build some as well but the price of the pre-built have me scared out.'

Nice grow so far. It will be interesting to watch. +rep to you with the lights potpimp. :peace:

It should be pretty straight forward to wire one, pcb board, load out the board with LED's run em in series, the connection soldering would be the tedious part. Need some shots of one pre-built to reverse engineer it.

Hey Potpimp,

Nice grow ya got going. Well here is a word or two from someone who uses LEDs.
I also took the time to solder all the dam things. I bought 3 kits from homegrownlights.com and put them all together. Took me four hours to do the first one. Got better after that but had I not bought three I would have given up.

Then I mount them, daisy chained them so I would have one power cord. Next I added 2 T-5 24" HO on each side. Took a while but it was fun. Then I found Red LED spotlights and I thought I was good to go. But no, I wanted more. I had to add cfls to the mix. LOL

I made a journal. You can check it out if you want.

Anyway, What I have found is they are awesome to veg with. They beat my sunblaze T-5 HO That’s has four 24" bulbs in the light and puts out 6000 lumens.

Now the leds I am talking about are only 14 watt panels. You have 50 watt panels
in my case when I used them as a supplement in flower and had those next to my 4oow hps the sodium over powered the leds. I would love to see you put them next to your 400w on this grow. Then do it again with out them. But I bet you wouldn’t want to do the second grow without them because I think 150 watts of LEDs will be perfect for a 400w hps.

Those are very nice looking plants for a week old.. i have thought about using leds but i wasn't sure about the like everyone else.. now do they have to be multi colored like your or could they be that solid white or blue whatever you want to call it..

When I bought mine a couple of months ago, they were offering a 3 pack so I got that. That was still $400, a little more than what I paid for my MH / HPS / Ballast / Reflector setup but with the energy savings (135w vs 400w) running 24/7 from seedlings thru veg, not to mention the heat, I'm more than happy so far.

Wow what a super grow joural you have Cruzer! My plan (always subject to change) is to go all the way thru flower, unless you have already tried that with the LED's only, and suggest not to do that to see how they turn out. I don't think I've ever seen healthier plants than yours; they are perfect (except for the spider mites - note to self: order some insect control stuff). Thanks for being part of my grow!
