Can’t seem to find phresh filters anymore. What’s everyone using?

Always used phresh but the only place I see them is amazon. The last one I got from there seemed used so not doing that again. Wondering what everyone is using I’m not looking for a budget filter though.

Nah, not anymore man. They were bought out a few years back and produce an inferior product now. The guys from canfan left and started Kootenay filters literally down the street from can and they model their filter off the original can filter with the 2.5" bed etc etc. Better quality carbon too. I ALWAYS bought can but after the buyout and a shitty filter I was done.

I just looked at the cost, holy hell. I have never used an air filter cause i am outdoor but dont people just buy 4x8 GAC and make their own vessels? Maybe the cost isn’t worth reverse engineering, but you could. You want 4x8 mesh coconut shell carbon for vapor phase removal imo and can buy it bulk. Size the sq/ft on what the industry currently uses for air flow. Biggest issue would be the vessel but a steel 55-gal drum with some 4” ports would work for ever, just have to make it up somehow (weld or saddles). Put a screen on the outlet so the GAC stays in and voila. Temps just need to stay down below 80* for fire hazard but that any combustible carbon product. I see they use pellets.

They can be reused but they are machine packed for no gaps so people just buy new ones

An 8” I power right now is 57$….their usually 85$ I just scooped 2 lol.
Don’t need them but at that price it’s hard to say no.
I’ve dropped $$$$ on phresh,phat,vortex ext… honest to god the i power fans are the best I’ve used and their fuggin diiiiirt cheep.
If u get a bad one and it dosent do it’s job shoot I power an email and they will tell you to keep the old one and then send you a new one.

There's a post somewhere here on RIU where someone emptied an AC infinity filter, re filled and re riveted it, and I think they said it worked. I would imagine the lifespan is shorter, and I think they had a specific tool to help vibrate the granules in order to pack them into a more packed formation, but it beats buying a new filter every 6 months to a year.
