How much do you yield under a 400 hps

seems a few of you need to brush up on measurements or only post when you're not high, or so high.

30g = 1 oz, 16 oz = 1 pound
1000g = 1 kg
1 pound = .49 kg

however, it is a fairly naive question. if there were only one answer, and no variables, then we wouldn't even need this site. just plant and water, done, lol.
in short, there are too many variables to say "you'll get exactly 200g from each plant." I know you're trying to calculate how much money you'll make or how long the bud will last, but it's just impossible.
just use the 'more or less' scale. if you're growing Lowryder 2...more or less, 20g per plant with good conditions. if you're growing feminized Medi-bud, more or less, 800g pp. if you have any trouble, bigger trouble, less yield, then you get less. without trouble, you get more.

the yield depends on the grower, the set up, and the strain, onenumcat your weight system is different than mine where im from its 28 a zip, 1008 a kick, and 448 a p we dont use bakers measurments

i got alot more off 1 plant will hps matter of strain and how tall u let them grow and how many bud spots r on the plants i got like almosted 3 pounds off of 6 plants in a 4x4 with a 430 watt hps so think about that....

Damm! what was the name of that strain?!?!! and how tall did u let her grow?? I'm getting a homebox xl, ( may get a homebox xxl though, just depends) going to also use 600w hps...Oh, was that 3lbs wet or dry??:clap::clap:

I can understand tha that people get annoyed with yield questions, Nobody is going to understand what your yield might be, that is a dumb question to ask someone else. THAT WAS NOT THE PIONT OF THIS THREAD. I am asking you what you are yielding with this light, and your method of growing just to see what kind of goals I should have for myself. This thread has nothing to do with what I hope to yield myself. So if you are not here to share information in a constructive way then please do not post. A lot of you are acting like smart asses after being asked a completely valid question.

don't know about the others, but I wasn't annoyed. it's just that I could tell you what I'm doing for my LR2's that I'm growing now, but would that really help you? only if you're growing the exact same strain. for myself, I just wanted to be sure you understand that the question cannot be answered precisely.

Yes I am aware that you can't compare a lot of factors, I'm just trying to find what is working well for other people so I know if I am up to par with my operation, Im thinking about doing a stadium style grow next time

Ok this is a good brake down that I had on a high yield crop w/ 430 watt veg to flower.
Nurturance: Technaflora
BC boost
BC grow
BC bloom
B1red
Magical
Sugar Daddy
Awesome Blossoms
Vegetated: 2 months
Flowered: 6 ½ weeks btw cut way to early should have cut at 8
After everything was clipped and dry I had enough shake to smoke for months as well as produced a shit load of butter to cook with
I cropped 9 oz… I figure if I would have seen it to the end I would have been over a pound lessened learned.
I am now doing the same thing in the same space 8 plants 1 1000.00 watt light, scrog.
I am starting a journal today.

How many plants were under the 430?
Also if you could post a link to your journal I would like to follow it. scrog is the shit!

Q. How much do you yield under a 400hps
A. between 0.5 and 1 pound
-------------------------------------------

I read the first 2 pages // skipped to the end now.

I too call BS on the post of 3lbs per 400W (430w) even with CO2 that is not likely (maybe he/she was talking about using a 1000W with full CO2 system etc. then I could believe it to be possible)

I also see that people get very poor yields in the first few posts... LOL.. less than an oz. per plant would piss me off for the time involved.

I achieve about 4oz. per plant dried & cured (using 28g = 1oz. just like black market measures, though we all know an oz.=32g)

I know where you novice growers are going wrong. You are trying to grow too many plants in a small space.

4'x4' is ideal for 400W - My room is 4 x 6 but the grow space is 4 x 4. The extra 2' at the back is for the circulation fan and 2 undergrowth CLF's
I only fit 3 to 4 plants in that space. There is no way more would fit. 4 was actually very crouded. 2 fit nicely and give more breathing room.

----------------------------------------------------------
PS this info is for medical growers (okay, fine - even recreational growers) all you commercial dealers go get a job. I grow my own meds to keep the weed off the streets. I'm doing my part to keep crime down. By crime, I don't mean marijuanna. Its the fighting/stealing ripping people off and other such dirty deeds that need to be abolished.

4x4 is a tight little area to grow with 1000 watt, but I am doing scrog 8 plants.

BTW just started a journal I have a link in my signature... Thanx

im doin a 7 plant grow right now in a 2x4x5 tent with a 600w HPS, n in two weeks will be putting in my 1000w to finish up. Im not sure what the 600 would have gotten me, or even what the 1000 will end me up with, but im 3 weeks into flower right now, and im hoping to get an lb - 1 1/4 lb from my plants, even though thats probably too much to expect in my case.

2 BlueCheese
2 WW
1 Northern Soul
1 Whiteberry
1 Twilight

- 1 g/watt isnt asking for too much, but when i put in my 1000w, im looking for .75/watt , because ill still be going by what i expect from the original hps that was in there, if that makes any sense. Heres what the 600w hps has gotten me so far, like i said 3 weeks into flower.

--sorry for the shameless plug of my grow, lol. i just wanna see if you guys think that an lb is pheaseable from what your lookin at. N in the wideshot of my tent, the barespot in the middle front is two white widows i just threw into flower. All my plants are around 4ft tall, n at 3wks IMO i think im off to a decent start, n the 1000w should seal the deal, once again, I THINK, lol.

**edit** n i couldnt fit the whole tent into the wideshot, so your only seeing 75% of everything. I gotta go through a big shpiel to take my doors off tracks, undo a shitload of tape and velcro, lol - i just wanted u to get a quick peek. the other pics were taken about 4 hours ago.

i need to make friends with you. im also flowering 7 plants under a 600w in about a 4.5 x 2.5 foot area- 2 weeks flowering. ive also got white widow and big boudha blue cheese seeds in the mail arriving any day now along with an afgan kush and a wonderwoman. a lot of similarities . how do the WW and blue cheese smell?

(all mainly indica)
I had similar results with Shiskaberry x Buddha, Northern Lights x Buddha, Ultimate Indica

Didn't do well with the 3 skunk#1's I had... there were all hermies

Of those NL x buddha is my favorite.

Soilless medium (promix) in large pots watered/fed roughly every 4 to 5 days as needed. standard 20-20-20 for veging and 15-35-15 for flowering - using some A.N. Overdrive in the finishing weeks, followed by plain water (water always ph'd to around 6.3 to 6.5 - though I hear that I don't have to adjust ph with promix... but I do anyway)

400W MH for veg 16/8 - vegged to around 20" tall on average
430W HPS 12/12 .. reduced to 11/13 then 10/14 over the last weeks when they start to obviously slow in growth.
They finish around 3.5' tall average

I like my trychs foggy with just a few shining clear ones left and the odd amber.

PS you are welcome 8)
