it just comes down to the long process of convincing her . . . you have the emotional edge on her, you can convince her over time. you just need to do it carefully and be patient. but since it really is such a great plant, it only is a matter of time before people will realize it.

eah we get that around here too. U go to buy a sack and douche bags hands you marble size sack and says, "Thats that Dro, $25 a gram". Ive even had dealers argue me down that Dro was a strain of weed and u need Dro seeds to grow it....IN SOIL!! WTF. I always buy in the ghetto. Im no bitch and im not scared of these so called 'Thugs', ill kick a motherfuckers ass he trys to stiff me on my weed.
I know exactly how this dude feels. Haha I live near chicago so I have the best of both worlds. The dudes who sell the weed are shady as fuck on what they sell (seedy regs/mids) for 50 a 1/2. When good bud is around NO MATTER what strain, they say "I got that dro fam"

when i want something i allways ask after sex. she'll go for it then! and in return just keep your grow private dont talk to her about it unless she asks. just dont shove it in her face you know. resist to be constantly watching it just when nesscessary. keep it low profile. she just doesnt want to get caught and lose everything. dont order seeds either just use some seeds from good local bud. she is probably most worried about the seed ordering! and dont tell ANYONE!

This is what I would do, move to a MMJ state and get a recommendation so the wife won't have no issues about you growing, or would she complain about having to move too? I myself am about to move to a MMJ state and get a recommendation, I'm glad I'm not in your shoes, but I usually stay single , I read in a cannabis culture magazine a few years ago that dating/marriage was the number #1 problem for those that grow, because women are very unpredictable and often will do things on the spur of the moment to get revenge so if you buck her wishes and grow anyway she could feel threatened on losing her freedom and choose to drop you- turning you in. If growing your own is that important I say move to a state that allows MMJ and get a recommendation though your wife seems the type to probably bitch about that too.I'd like to be married one day but no woman is going to henpeck me. You say you've been toking for 20 yrs everyday, man , thats a lot of money, and wasted money on seeded crap too. Sorry bro, I wouldn't even think about growing with a woman under the same roof even if the woman was all for it UNLESS my ass had a MMJ recommendation in a MMJ state to cover my ass in case the woman wanted to be spiteful and tried to have me locked up because they will damn sure do it.

I agree oregon...as a woman, I think that she reacting either in fear or out of spite. If its fear, just take the time to explain that it will be on small scale for personal use and that you will take all precautions. I think you should express to her how excited you were and how crushed you felt when she shut it down right away. You could even enlist her help in the venture, making it a way that you spend time together or a way that it will seem like you need her help. You got to examine her her personality to see which way will work. Someone else also had a great suggestion of starting growing veggies and then just slowly move on to growing weed. Shell already be used to the plants and if you grow other things too it will seem less about the weed to her and shell be able to rationalize it better.
If its out of spite or retaliation, thats a whole different strategy. You have to come with a strong bargaining chip or make up for whatever fucked up thing you did to make her hate you in the first place. Good luck

I don't think she's trying to emasculate him, I think she's afraid of getting caught and ending up with a criminal record, which is perfectly understandable. I don't blame her for being scared, especially with the way society is poisoned against marijuana.

The reality of your situation right now is you cannot grow in your house. Your wife is uncomfortable with growing on your property and that's fair. Happy wife - happy life.
However, you do have options. Guerrilla growing has already been mentioned.
Another option would be to go ahead and build your grow cabinet, a real stealth grow cabinet. It's not illegal so your wife can't really object if you go ahead and build it. Go to Goodwill, a junk store, or a garage sale; find the perfect item and convert it. Then once you have a decent cabinet built, start growing basil, tomatoes, or flowers in the stealth cabinet. Again, if the wife's only objection is legal she will have to keep quiet. Once you get a working stealth cabinet in place, you can start trying to sell the issue of growing cannabis to your spouse. Seeing a quality, working, stealth grow cabinet, her fears of getting caught may fade away. Stress the numerous benefits of growing your own versus supporting the black market.
Still another option would be a tad more risky: get a partner. Find someone you can trust, who is willing to grow on their property. Split expenses with them in an equitable fashion. You may have to take a shorter percentage since they are shouldering the risk, but such an arrangement could work.

Im just gonna stick to buying regular weed I guess. I cant believe she flipped out like that. Im not gonna try and sneak and do it. Im sure she'd find it.It sucks though because I go through about 2 OZs a month buying a 1/2 - 1/4 at a time. The money I could save just growing 1-2 plants and the safety of not having to purchase it anymore was worth the "risk" to me.. But we are a team ,so if she says no ,then I pretty much go with it. Its not worth a divorce.

Set it up and do everything minus the weed. Let her see it up and running with vegetables and then she will feel more comfortable. Then after a few months of growing veggies bring up the subject to her....I would start in by talking about the monetary expense it is costing the household....This would be a great way to save $$ and she would now see how it works, she will feel more comfortable of the idea and if not, at least you tried.

I can flush it or burn it if need be, but a plant is harder to hide and a prison sentence.

If I were to do the stealth vegtable/spice garden, would a 13in wide by 25in ( 2ft 1 1/2in )tall by 4 1/2ft long area make a good stealth box? Maybe I could grow something other than weed and when it is fully grown I can say to her "see.. If this were weed I could smoke it right now.. I grew these spices and you didnt even know.. How would anyone else know if it were weed?" or something to that effect...

You could do a plant in that area. I would do a tomato plant. Once she sees that it is not that big of a deal she will like the idea of saving of money. She is probably freaked out over doing something illegal in the house, once she sees veggies growing and that it is not that big of a deal she will probably like the idea of saving some bucks and moving forward with a weed plant. She probably just doesn't know what to expect, this would show her that it is not that big of a deal.
