sorry i been away for a minute.... hospital's internet blocks RIU.... mom's doin fine, wants to go home; baby is fine and starting to breastfeed really well.... hopefully they'll let us take him home today.... i hate sleeping at the hospital...

as far as we are concerned, yes he is... but it is technically up to the pediatritian on duty..

waiting for them to come around and see what they have to say... he's perfectly fine, isnt having problems with anything, and this isnt our first rodeo... we know what to watch out for; there is absolutely no reason for them to keep him another night

well, they're gonna keep him for the night.... have to order an ultrasound on him to see if he has testicles... first doc said they were there, but havent dropped; this doctor says she cant feel anything... she is also concerned about the way he is holding his hands/fingers, so she is having a geneticist come in the morning to have a look at him...

i am worried sick right now, and hope everything is fine, but on the bright side; besides those two problems, he is perfectly healthy and is eating like a champ.... stressful times though; all anyone ever wants is a healthy baby...

My eldest had feet that twisted inwards when she was born. The doctor told me she might have to wear braces for the first few years of her life. However, because they picked it up early I learnt some simple exercises to strengthen her muscles in the right places. She never needed the braces at all, learnt to walk at 10 months old, and has never even been aware really that there was anything wrong with her feet.

All the best gogrow. I hope your son's fine. At least he's healthy and happy otherwise.

sat down with one of the more knowledgeable nurses tonight, and she explained everything that is going on and why.... feel alot better now; they dont really think he has any problems, but just want to make sure (hence the geneticist)... as far as the testes; those arent able to be seen on an ultrasound, so basically we just wait to see if they drop... if they dont within 6mos, they say then we should maybe look into it more, but for now it is perfectly cool...

Get some rest. You will need to be strong for both of them. As for being back before daylight.... I think you may be back even sooner.

he's home now!! everythings good with the possible problems... geneticist says he looks like a perfectly healthy baby boy to him.... feel alot better now; even went out and bought a new pipe so that i dont have to smoke out of tinfoil
