Brightest part of the earth is 120000 lumens at a certain par rating. 1000 watt hps up to 153000 lumens for hortilux. prove me wrong. I am asking everyone to listen because i want props when they admit i'm right. Guys is that a resonable lumen number i just gave? please respond honestly

Never said it would. you don't know how lumens work. an hps is brighter than the suns light once its travelled to earth by 30000 lumens.

hey ivve just read most of these remarks and 1982 has alot of facts i just matched all them up to the medical marijuana bible by jc. so quit hating on new technologies we use it for stealth not just watt for watt. by the way if u think ur so smart why the fuck r u useing a 1000w like a retard and talking shit when u should be using 2 600w way hyer output watt for watt on ur own system im only 22 and fixing to school u from the pros. so back to my stealth set up (its in the closet) im in 3-4week of flowering 8 plants i use just around 250w cfl and i like them. ohh to correct something a 1000w hps does 145000 lumens which technically is way more then 10000 on a hot summer day from the sun u go buy a book dude and get knowledge

i really hate getting invovled in stupid arguments.. and i dont know the kind of facts about light that 1982grower was talking about, but in all honesty i would much rather trust someone like 1982 that a pathetic numpty racist.
It was a very interesting read however, made me go into research on the subject.

where am i compearing a 1000w to a 220w CFL? there is no photo to compare my 1000w HPS. the stupid post that clames that a 220w CFL 4'x4' floor plan, superior to 400w HPSCan I get a donkey punch for the guy trying to compare the efficiency of a 1000watt hps compared to that of a 220 watt cfl grower... LOL...
What do you guys think of that comparison

if you had a 1000w of CFL you still would not yeild as much as a 1000w hps

2 grow rooms 1 with a 400w HPS the otheer with 400W CFL top pics are both at 57 days flowering bottom pic of plants 1 hps plant and 1 cfl plant side by side at 57 days flower. the HPS room yeilded 340g and the CFL room yeilded 270g the HPS garden had only 4 plants because it was over grown, the CFL garden had 6 plants

sog is way more efficient use of light. those cfls would have yielded way more with say 20 smaller plants and finished sooner.

SOG is a mothod of growing it can be done with HPS or CFL the HPS will win over yeild = CFL lights are not as efficant as HPS watt for watt, as i have said all this talk about PAR looks good on paper, but does not look good on plants.

I will outyield a 430 hps with 430 flouros anyday and everyone here has seen my setup. call me a liar but i'll get a pound off of less than 450 total system watts and thats every 47 days including pump power fan lights everything under 450 and i'll get 16 ounces off 16 plants read my journal.

most of the light from hps is only visible to human eyes. the plant disregards many of the colours in hps light and therefore many lumens. Par rating is much higher on flouros. they look dim to humn eyes but almost all light spectrum is absorbed by the plant
