OK I have used a little bit of Miracle Grow on my plant, and from every mention of MG on this forum it is in a negative sence.

I'm not using MG soil, litteraly a tiny bit in a 1L spray bottle that I really rarely use.

Have I been tipptoeing kiling my plant by having this spray bottle on hand?

What the dealio with Miracle grow?

miracle gro is very high in ntrogen, it is formulated for houseplants/flowers with strong root systems, not the typical mj plant. im not knocking it, it works great if you know what you're doing, but for beginners I always say go organic. i also suggest never misting your leaves with MG or any other ferts, even plain water. it drains the nitrogen out of the leaves and the water droplets act like tiny magnifying glasses and create "hot spots"

i don't trust any chemical-based fertilizers. Mainly because one over-feeding can cause serious burn and almost kill your plants. I can over-feed my plants organic nutes all day with no burn whatsoever. I know I've over-fed/watered when my plants start to droop down.

Like I said I'm not knocking MG its great if you know what you're doing. But every strain is different and requires special care. One plant might love MG while the other plant wilts and dies from the same dosage.

that is true you have no control over how much nutes the plant gets. All I can say is try it if you like it good for u, if not try something else.

What works for 1 person may not always work for another.

Miracle grow ingridients arent organic got chemicals in it, for best results go organic. For vegging I use an organi bone blood and fishmeal, a separate bonemeal, Poultury manure pellets and organic liquid seaweed. This can all be purchased at main diy and garden stores and is really cheap. I just mix it all in with the soil. Then I plant my germed seed and water for 2 weeks with the organic seaweed. Then after the two weeks make tea out of the bone fish bood meal just add the meal to boiling water. Let it cool and then its ready to use to water the plants. I continue that until i change nutes for flowering and get great results.

im saying that new folks who havnt looked into growing or appriciated what they have read pop off to the shops looking for plant food, they come across miracle no ( not a typo ) and think that will do , they then mix up a bunch and start feeding there plants , a week later they start a thread off saying my plants turning brown whats happeneing please help , theyhave read off the side of the box and are now feeding there plants at 3300 ppm without knowning

and so

if you get along with this stuff then great and good luck to you , for the rest of the world though its better to avoid unless they are confident in there plant growing experience and abilities

it truelly makes me sad to see so many burnt grows thanks to this stuff posted online for the last 10 years

nor do i, it doesnt make sense.

the bottom line is yes you need to know what you are doing with miracle grow and as for a difference in plants/strains i have used it in well over 10 different strains with nothing but perfect results and if it works for me(and not 1 person) then i am sure it will work for anyone.
and as for smokin1 how can you not have no controll over how much nutes the plants get it makes no sense as you are the one feeding the plants so you know what they are getting.

well then they are dumb, if it come with nutes mixed in, then common sense should tell you not to add any more. They only thing i add is molasses until i think it requires more npk.

what i meant was yes you have control over the nutes you are adding, not the nutes that already exist in the soil
