first grow hydro

Well, bought my posts, end caps and a 10 gal roughneck res today. Still waiting on my shipment of misc parts. Have my drill with a 3" hole cutter loaded. Have it in my head what to do. Now lets see if I can execute. Note to self. Do not toke before you build! F*#ks up the math every time! LOL! I do have a question. Since my fill hole is 1/2" and my drain is 3/4" (good idea to have a quick drain I suspect) do I need 3/4" hose and tees?

Looking at your pictures from earlier and I have another question. Do you have the drain or the fill closest to the end? Oh, and by looking at the pictures it seems the fillings are both 1/2".

they are both 1/2 inch the fill and the drain. but the hole is the one closest to the end caps . . the reason for that is becouse the drain hole is in between the 3" hole for the net pots , so the extention does'nt hold the net pots up couse it's 3" high inside the post

you do need 3/4 tees if youre using 3/4 hoses

What's the latest on your grow? I have assembled all my parts and I think I have a good idea of what I'm going to do in design thaks to you. Just waiting for my current grow to finish up before I start on the reconstruction of the grow room. Got a 400 with a vented hood and a squirrel cage fan for removing the heat. Planning on using the 400 for my fence post ebb and flow and the 250 for my current hydro system and run them together in a grow off. Have Purple wreck(Reserva Privada), panadoras box (TGA), LSD ( Barney's Farm) and Jack Herer ( Sannie Seed).

Those are net pot covers covering a PVC fence post ebb and flow system. Lots of nice picture of his design and execution. I'm doing the same next grow. Starting in Mid-Oct.

well I checked out the plants today and they were on their third set of 5 leafs so I toped all three real early so I can have more sites for clones . I am already seeing the differance in all three . from the weakest to the strongest . I am just hoping it's a bitch. couse it's real stout and more vigor than the rest . the other 1 is okey , but the third is a mutant like . it's first set of three leaves only grew 2 leaves on 1 side ans 1 leaf on the other and the first set opf 5leaves one side grew 2 leaves and the other grew 4 and retarted looking too . that was the one I forsed out of the rockwool couse it was going to die

I'm actually hoping to get a good male when I grow in the system. One good one is all I want though. LOL! I have breeding plans. Want to do a Jack/LSD cross. Jacked LSD!

Only problem I see with that is that if it hermies on it's own and not due to stress it might hermie again from the seed but you never know for sure. It's like a genetic mutation that may be passed or not. Glad you like the strain. Purple widow, right! Should be really pretty and a power smoke both up and down.

hey guys , update # 2 and here is what they look like . enjoy . there was a little algae and I used a little florea kleen for the rez for the first time and we'll see what happens . after it gets clean I will change the rez and add a little more nutes , probably around 5-600 ppm , weel here are the pics

Just cut mine yesterday. Same strain gave me about 7oz on two plants last time but this one is better. Looks like about 10oz total when it dries. They wer clones. Two nice bushy LSD. I think I'll grow that in my present system when I get back. I'm going to use the posts for Sannie's Jack and Subcool's Pandora's box and the tried and true LSD in my bubbleponic res. Hoping for a male or two for breeding on the grow after that or maybe just later.
