When do I harvest? Newbie needs help...

So. I've already had to throw two plants away because a goddamn male turned them too hermy to harvest, and I feel like he might have pollenated these too. Is there still hope for them? Should I just harvest now and enjoy what I have? If not, when should I harvest, am I a long way away? These were supposed to be seeds from the same batch, but I think I have 2 different strains. The lighter plant doesnt look as tasty. What do I do, I'm a noob!!???

If pollen was released in reasonable promixity, i.e at the end of ones medium sized garden, then it is likely that pollination would have taken place. Pollen can travel along way. I am not sure whether to suggest to cut them down now. If resinous enough you could consider an early harvest and make some hashish if you are unhappy with the product. There maybe some much better suggestions by others.
 
you couldnt come up with a better name? sorry but i cant offer advice to minors. :roll:

one thing though, males do not turn females into hermies. stress and genetics are what cause females to hermie. little nugget you can take along with ya.:bigjoint:
 
it doesnt look ready yet. especially the first pic, but how close was the male? and why didnt u take it out when it showed sex?

I got rid of the male as soon as I saw pods, but I was out of town and it had already released pollen. It was about 10 feet from the females, and I know for a fact that it got ahold of the plants in the last two pics because I've been pulling pods off them, dunno about the other two tho...
 
I'm a first timer too my friend but they seem to be at different stages . some of these people forget that there was a time when they didn't know much !!
looks like ur doing fine for a first timer . just try to get the male quicker next time . take care mate .:lol::lol:
 
should I harvest now or what? I def don't want my plants to end up like the other two. Too many seeds to get buds from
 
i dont know much about growing outdoors, but i would say that they are nowheres close to being ready to cut down. even if you wanted to cut them down early, i would say you still need to wait until at least mid october. you wont get too good a buzz if you go too soon. lesson learned with the males. you should just deal with the seeds and let them get 5 to 6 more weeks and then youll have some somewhat seedy, but pretty decent buds. good luck.
 
who cares if theres seeds in ur bud.. its still FREE weed..
you can still grow dank, i've bought dank that had seeds in it before :)
 
yah, u shouldnt have thrown the seeded plants away.. they were in the form god intended.. they still get u high. but for these plants i think u need 4-6 weeks for the dark one, and 7-9 more weeks for the light green one which looks a lot more sativa which might be why it doesent look as good, sativas take longer to begin flowering and to finish.. DONT throw any away!!
 
Fertilised female buds sill produce some Thc, less but some. I suppose you have no options. They aren't ready. You always can make hash or cakes if it doesn't taste too nice. :)
