Hallucinatory Substances is kinda dead today.
so whats good movies for tripping?


To save someone the trouble I know it is preferred to trip in Nature; Beach,festivals, woods, campfire and the like. but sometimes its fun to just trip and hang.

What movies do you put on while tripping?


i like these
Qatsi triology
Microcosmos
Winged Migration
Also the Mind's Eye series is pretty good but feels dated.


P.S. In advance, Requiem for a Dream and Trainspotting are not good tripping movies, but someone will mention them.

Mr. Hulot's Holiday or Mon Oncle, two Jaque Tati films...saw them in college on shrooms, could'nt stop laughing. very funny foreign films. Like a french Chaplin, but funnier.

most movies are great while tripping. I some how caught like half of the titanic..its amazing to know how a movie is supposed to be and then see it when the people keep turning into dolls or wearing hats and clothes completly larger then their bodys haha. i shut it off after they hit the ice burg. The only thing I say about movies is your emotions get attached to certain charactors, possibly if the character reminds you of a friend girl friend family member..its fun playing the emotional roller coaster with movies..good thread.

I hate watching tragedy and violence while tripping.
Once a friend put on Saving Private Ryan. Killing started. i was like c'mon maan.
He then put on Braveheart.
Uh. I'm going outside.

lmao yeah not a good idea..depending what your on..some have more emotional stabability then others. But one show that I learned to love which i never gave it a chance before I saw it is married with children. LMAO I watxchd like 3 hours of the show and fell in love with it haha..too funny.

I normally don't have the attention span when I'm tripping to sit down and watch an entire movie... some good things are where the jokes come and the movie is interesting even if you haven't been following the whole story...

A series of music videos would be best...

But seriously, I could watch Vanishing Point in any state at any time.

Good point.
The movies in my OP require no attention and have little plot and dialogue.
The common theme amongst them is that they are visually appealing.
the visual aspect is key for good tripping movies imo.

They are cued up for dl.
