My bad, I realized I never answered your question man. Yes I'm pretty much only using 2 CFLs. I'm also using a reptile UV light because I've heard it would make the actual THC more potent, and I have a supplemental CFL I leave in the bottom to give the lower branches some light. I'm gonna post a picture of the plant inside the box.

Thanks for answering my question, your plants are looking damn good for the lighting you have, how's the bottom light been doing for you, I recently added some bottom lights although I was told it was a waste of time and money but I want to see for myself... I'll be waitng for them pics.

Keep up the great work!

a picture of a nug I cut a few weeks ago dry and pretty. I left a lot of leaves on it because it wasn't very big and the leaves were soaking in resin.

good taste too. not too grassy.

I have some more nugs drying now and they're a lot bigger.

our first grow, we had like 4 cfl's by the end. and I don't think we had as much as you have. we got about 3/4's of an ounce. we we're growing widow.
we're doing lst now, today is her first day of 12 12 with some good bagseed we got. soil though, I just hope we get something that looks as nice as yours.

I'm not sure what strain it is. It was a bagseed too. It was from some seedy reggies that were grown by a native american. This my first real grow and mostly an experiment to really gauge the whole growing experience. There's a lot of things I'd do differently next time, but I think that with the fact that I'm using hydro DWC it's making up for the minimal lighting I'm providing. I came to this conclusion when I saw that after 4 weeks of growing one of the buds that was lower in the canopy was barely getting light yet growing just as hairy and big. anyways, what I was really trying to say is that I really owe most of what I got to my hydro system in my opinion.

on a side note, the bud I was talking about, I actually tied it to hold it up and get more light the rest of the grow and it's one of my biggest buds on the tree. see attached.

So today we decided it was time to chop down our tree. It really hurt at first, but then it just tickled.

In case anyone's curious, here's how the base of the plant looked in the end due to the LST she was put through.

and these were her roots. I'm not sure how long they are but my estimate was about 4 feet.

and finally, of course the good stuff. There were 2 trophy buds, and the rest were pretty nice as well, just not huge.

and here's a picture of some of my bud drying. I also have some that's been dried and is now curing, but I don't have a pic of that bud.

I've been smoking my bud for about a week now, mostly because i'm broke. We mostly smoked all the tiny little buds that dried first. It tastes pretty good, though I'm sure once it's properly cured it'll be even better.

It's a real stony high. When I'm home alone, I'll just pack a bowl into my bong and hit it once every once in a while and I'll stay stoned the whole night. in fact, that's what I did tonight. haha.

Well everyone, thanks for the advice here and there, the support, and the great bud pics everyone puts up that inspire us all.

And to those who doubted my cheapo 1 plant, 2 CFL grow. All I got to say is...

Can't do nothin but stay here smoking this green baby. Rattata-Ratttataha-Rattah tatta! I spit hot fire! peace out.

!!!!

Nice job! Only 2 CFLs?

yeah, it was an issue of heat mostly. It worked pretty well and the roots were huge, so I think that helped.

EDIT: My girlfriend reminded me that we actually used 3 CFLs and a UV light (which I'm not sure how much it did, but it was there). The other smaller CFL was in a small hood. We used that one mainly to light the side of the plant and the lower buds.

True, there were a lot of clear pistils but there 2 factors that came into play. The buds began going through another wave of flowering right before I picked them. I would have liked to give them at least another week or two, but next Monday I'm going home for the holidays til January so there was no time to wait unfortunately. Hopefully by then they'll be dry enough to leave curing. hopefully.

Thanks total, I'm still learning this stuff, since I'm near harvest I'm seeking the means as to when and the best way to go about it, I heard that if you don't want couch lock weed and want more of an energetic high then you'll want to harvest early, and this wave thing I'm recently experiencing, it's kind of weird actually, it's all new to me, so I'm now actually thinking about harvesting small earlier than bushy to see if in fact there is any difference..

Again great freakin job!
