Im almost finished my first grow :hump: and im trying to setup the new room for the next grow,
i see everywhere on these forums people with crazy light setups like the one in the picture below, i want to organize my lighting much better this time, im using lamps at the moment and i want to fuck them off coz they take up too much room, so what are my options rather then going out and buying more lamps, i dont know alot about electronics so got no idea what im looking for cheers!

yesterday i made a bubble cloner in a 10L plastic tub. cant wait to get this DWC started. waitin on a few things from DH on eBay and then its all go.

Heres coupla pics of ma bubble cloner

On the other side of the cloner is a small hole with a bitta hose poked thru already for the airstone.

When the water heater gets here, ill cut a slit in under the lid where the power cord can be inserted.

If it were me I'd have 2 fans & 2 fan speed controllers. Run one on a timer for lights off @ 1/2 speed and get it to cut out as the other 1 comes on with ur lights (& it can be wired to full speed with or without the additional controller). Cost ya more $$ but u will only have 1 fan runnin at any 1 time. Seems unneccesary that you wish to do it this way anyhow.. During the night with low air movement is how mould breeds.
Yeah i thought about the mould issue, but airflow during dark would be sufficient to create negative pressure in my space and draw in enough fresh air. AC motor controllers are pretty expensive, just seems like my idea to use thermostat is not that difficult and way less expensive. I like fiddling with electrical things so Im going to give it a go. If successful will post my efforts.

Buy all the parts from bunnings
and wire them up
another idea is to use lead lights
they are cheap and have clamps to hold them in place
also to buy the short extension leads (7 bucks each) and cut the female end off then wire up a Batton holder or light holder
I found it cheaper than buying each part then making the units up
Also pk13/14 users do you know thar your ment to run that shit by it's self
no nutes or anything ( says so on the bottom) just get ya ec to 1.2 then ph
any one do this , I don't and I wanna know who does and if it works better

I use it with Flower Nutes.
To get the EC to where they suggest then it would require more than the 1-2ml per litre, so u have to contradict em one way or the other.

AC Motor controllers?? Dude, i got my fan speed controller from the hydro shop for $60. But prior to that wen i was just a wee-tot and had no $$ i used a light dimmer. If wired correctly it does the same thing.

im gonna try pull a pic of the pk label
i went to get my usual small pk bottle and my mate in the shop said hey check it out ,showed me the bottle then told me one of the customers has done the straight pk no nutes for that stage of the grow and had better results than usual
if ya think about it you don't really need much N in ya flowering cycle (you need some) but tonnes of p and k
i might start a thread

here it is
link to canna http://www.canna.com.au/node/1805
and the extract that i read
PK 13-14 Directions of Use

EASY DIRECTIONS

To develop heavier, tighter, sweeter fruits and blooms extremely quickly add PK 13-14® at the rate of 1 - 2 mL/L, three to four weeks before harvesting (week five or six of an eight week flowering cycle) to your nutrient tank. Then add flowering nutrient until your desired EC is reached. Use for one week only. Due to PK 13-14® being pharmaceutical grade never use it for more than one week! To radically accelerate the blooming response, improve quality and significantly boost flower yield add CANNABOOST Accelerator® at 2-4 mL/L. For alternative use follow directions as above however add PK 13-14® without flowering nutrient until your desired EC is reached.

hey ninja yeah ive found some cheaper fan controllers at hydro shops so thats probably the easiest option. I dont think a light dimmer switch would be suited to control a motor as it is not simply a resistive load like an incandescent light. A dimmer switch is just a voltage pot as far as i know so the fan would operate poorly or not at all at low speed when there is insufficient voltage. Maybe someone can correct me? Controlling a motor is slightly more complex it seems. Im looking into it

They don't have splitters in oz as they are prone to overcooking and melt downs
Thought so, they only run 110 in the US but at a higher amperage I thought so just as much of a meltdown issue either way I'm glas thats answered I was hoping to locate some for a cabinet grow, ah well tubes it is.

On the subject of cool American shit we cannot get does anyone know where I can get smart pots in Australia, there way of trimming roots and being able to allow for smaller pots make me think if I did a coco/perlite grow with autoflowers in a cabinet if could use crazy small pots on a dripper setup and use less room and sort of sog em.

Also all 10 bubbleicious (nirvana) from seed boutique have sprouted as well as 2 of the freebie Thai haze x skunk (sam the skunkman) so I am happy.

Hope I have the same luck with my auto's.
