Plants look great you can tell the growth really bushed up in the plants just in that little time frame, thats great to see.

Mother is looking beautiful!
Yeah dude, they did bush up. Not too much vertical, cause of the fim job. I also just transplanted to the slabs so once they get rooted into those Ill up the co2 ppm to full strength and we should see a nice growth spurt straight through flower. I cant wait for this to unfold.

Yes being patient is one big thing in growing, already seeing what you want to happen in your head and now you just have to wait to see if every thing falls in place.

Well every day is looking better out in the shed. Today I thinned out the bottoms and spread them out to fill the screen better and let light into the centers. So far ive been bending the tops over to keep them under the screen. This has been working well to fill it up quickly. I was going to flower in the next couple days but Im having second thoughts and Im feeling like I might wait another week. Educated and experienced opinions would be appreciated for this choice. Thanks dudes.

They're looking great so far. Have you grown this strain before. If its the typical 2x-3x flower stretch I would say to flower them today. If it is notorious for little to no flower stretch, let them go another week. 1 quick suggestion about your screen though. I would make the squares smaller. I know when you look around you will see a lot of different sizes. Ideal is 2"x2". I use 2"x3". You will get a much more dense canopy this way and it makes it much easier to evenly space the tips and get them right where you want them. I promise you will like the results much better in the end and its not to late to change it yet. From the looks of it you coud just run a line through the middle of each section lenght and width wise and it would be about perfect. Hope this helps and Im subscribed, I thought I already was but I mush have just kept clicking the link in your sig when you were posting pics in the 600w.

Where did you find the smaller square screen? Ive looked around and Ive found smaller but its the thicker flat plastic type which kinda blocks light from getting through the screen. This size is the only one that Ive found that had the thinner line. I grew one of these purple kush with my last run and Id say that the stretch was less than 2x so it sounds like I should wait at least a few more days. Btw Im runnin two 1000s hereso it wasnt in the 600w we were just talkin a few weeks back and you were sayin that you wanted to see a 1000w scrog and hadnt yet so I told you that I was about to do this one. Anyway glad to have ya subbed integra. Ive been watchin your grows for the last 8 mnths or so and absolutely love what youve done with your setup man. Ill be tryin to do the best I can to use the screen ive got but will be lookin for smaller if I can find it.

They look great buddy, but maybe a little underwatered...?
They have plenty of water, those slabs are soaked still. I think they are drooping in the pic cause I was just pruning and bending the hell outa those little bitches.
Really love your setup rip, awesome looking!
Thanks BR I feel the same about yours. Must be nice to have such a large area to work in. Not that Im complaining, I love my shed!

I would let them go another few days then flip. The pk doesn't stretch more than 50% and you want atleast half of that stretch to be upward. If your light footprint is wide enough, you may even move the outside pots out toward the sides another inch or two. If you flip now they will still fill in your screen over the next coupl of weeks, but I would hold out another 3-5 days or so, until the recover from the trimming. I agree with integra that the smaller square are better for getting more sites. In my experience with the pk, the netting you have works good for pk. The fans get so large that you need to space the buds atleast a couple inches apart. I used a 2x3 inch screen the first time I used one and it does work awesome to get an even canopy. I use bread ties with in conjunction with the same screen you have. I also like the ability to reach through the screen if you need to.

I think that If I were only running with the green crack I would flip now, but since the pk doesnt double up Im gonna hold off. Theres the problem with having multiple strains I guess. I to like the ability to reach through the screen. and with the pk it really doesnt want to weave as well as the gc at all. I think I really like the gc and am wishing that I didnt get rid of the mother. Im gonna take a few clones of that before flower. It runs under the screen like a vine and spreads well. Well see how it yeilds also and make some decisions after this round.

This is just a basic ebb and flow (flood and drain) all rockwool 6" cubes on 4" slabs 3 cubes per 3' slab with 18 total plants on a 3'x6' tray. Im lighting it with 2 lumatek digital 1000's in flower and in veg Im just hand watering in rockwool under 2 400w standard sunleaves ballasts. My mother pk plant is also in the veg box and has her own euro systems 400w hps magnetic ballast w/ mh conversion bulb. All reflectars are hydro farm air cooled 2-8" for flower 2-6" for veg and my old euro systems 4 inch air cooled hood in mom area with 6" adapter. Entire shed is cooled with 2 ton mini spliut ac, and I use a humidifier during cloning and a 70 pint dehumidifier in mid to late flower. Sorry BlackRoses hope that clears it up for ya. Feel free to ask if I forgot somethin.

Yea, the pk does grow stiff stems.
Ya know I was just looking at the girls and thinking about what you said, that I should move them out to the edge of the tray. That I cant do cause theyre rooted into the slabs, but Im pretty pissed that I placed them a few inches inside. I should have put them right against the edge for sure and let them grow inward. How stupid! Next time I wont make the same mistake, Ive now crowded them an ruduced yeild at least a little. Ya live and you learn. Good lookin out raider. Always the obvious shit that doesnt seem so obvious. haha.

I want a split AC system bad, they are a pretty penny though. Add it to the list like the spinpro, and co2 I guess. Can't wait to see this flip!

Yea man, I did the same thing when I had the smaller reflectors and I ended up crowding the middle. You might look into light spreaders. I use them and they are in-expensive. They just spread out the footprint. If you are using 3x6 tray, it would have probably been better with the outside plants against the trays and even a screen that is 6" wider than your trays would give you a wider canopy. You will get it dialed in the more rounds you get under your belt and find your sweet spot for every detail. For example I am running 9 plants per 4x4 tray and have learned that I can't really doing any weaving ( just spreading), but when I ran 6 per tray the weaving was a must to get a full even canopy.
I really think with 2 x1000's and some spreaders, you could make the screen a little wider than the 3' trays and still fill up the screen. Just something to think about next time. The spreaders though, you could still use this run. I think they are like 30 bucks or there about and IMHO make a big difference in the light footprint.

I cant recommend them enough mine never has a problem ever. To tell you the truth sometimes I wish it was hotter in the shed sometimes it runs at 80 in there and its set at 90.

Ive already got em brother and it did wonders for taking the intensity out of the plants right in the center which I had problems with the first round. Thanks for the pointer man, but already got that one handled. Oh yeah and I really would love to widen the screen over the edges of the tray but its already hard enough to move in ther with the veg box addition. I think it is what it is. Now its just time to get the in your words "sweet spots" for every aspect of my grow. And also pick the strain I will stick with I really love the pk but that gc is much more aggressive thru veg. Well see what happens in the next 8 weeks. Btw the gc is a 7 week strain. Another selling point for that one.

Man I just love to see the shed grows.

Nicely done.

Crowded house, but nice,,,,,,

Thanks dude it is crowded in there. I didnt leave one inch of that shed unused.

So I flipped about 5 min ago. Im going to continue to run veg nutes for two weeks then transition for week three and into full flower nutes for four through eight.(those of you who are more experienced let me know if this doesnt seem like a good idea) Right now Im giving the ladies ro water 1450ppm with ph of 5.8. This seems like a lot of nutes but they seem happy and growing well with no signs of nute burn.
First a view of the whole tray, looks almost full.

IMG_2320.jpg
Heres a pic of the pk I have 12 of them and 6 green crack so the whole front half of the tray closest to the door is pk and the first 3 of the back half also. You can see how stout and stiff the purple kush grows.Very thick stems that dont move much, maybe not the best scrog candidate. I think the screen will mostly be for support on the front half.
IMG_2321.jpg
Now for the green crack. This strain is really starting to impress me it is a very fast grower. It weaves well for scrog . It finishes in 7 weeks. If it yeilds better than the pk I think that Ill have no choice but to keep this for my one and only strain. Im set on learning one strain to near perfect grows before adventuring into other things. Watching raiderfans pk grows were such an inspiration but learning from his last grow that the purple wouldnt come out as much with the high temps of the co2 grow, and all the great things ive learned about this strain, I might have to make the switch. Its all down to the yeild and quality.
heres a shot of the gc side. Look at how well it as spread and with minimum efforts on my part. Just minor spreading out of the branches. Also all the plants were fimmed once at about the third or fourth internode.
IMG_2322.jpg
and finally the pk mom. She just got a good lst job.
here you can see the way that I tied her down
IMG_2323.jpg
heres her all spread out
IMG_2324.jpg
and heres her topped area where all here shoots span from
IMG_2325.jpg
Ill hate to have to start over with a Gc mom but I wont have a choice if it keeps impressing the hell outa me.

I Will clone a shitload of pk and gc for next round this weekend. I dont know which direction that will head yet so Im leaving my options open. I think thats about it for this update peeps. Hope this will be a great show for all who attend!
