My girl in saskatchewan, canada

Should it really matter if light can get threw? I should only have to put it on during the night when it frosts right, and take it off during mourning. Im asking becaue i already have a wooden box that fits over my girl, and it works fine. If it needs light to shine through it though then ill build a pvc fram and cover it wit poly.

If you can get an extension cord out to the box, put a med watt lite bulb in it

Just like warming a cold frame in the early spring

You should start using the tent now, only set up to block all the light. Cut the days down to 12/12 and it'll speed up. Days are still about 15 hours long in Saskatchewan, whereas if you were somewhere like southern Ontario you'd be crossing the 14 hour mark within the next week.

Will the light shining from it effect my girls flowering phase at all?

I'm just guessing, but by that stage, the plant may not be reacting to light so much as producing an abundance of trichome to ward off the cold**

**I think I read that part here in one of the harvest guides

Found 2 more balls on my girl, picked em off. Went to a few stores to get prices on stuff ill need to build this mini greenhouse. Sound good to build a wood frame, and stape on 2 layers of clear plastic?

I know that plants flowered inside under a 12/12 schedule will finish faster than if it was 14/10. Should apply here as well. It's up to you, really. Tenting and un-tenting every day may turn into a pain in the ass, and if you let it go naturally at least you'll know whether or not it had a chance of finishing. If it turns out to be decent, you'll probably have a few beans to grow next year, and the next year...(hermies :) )

lookin great man, bag those things for 12/12 for ten days straight and they will take off man... good luck

I also cant wait for next year, I will be growing this strain again as I still have 7 beans from it which I got from a bag. I will be starting the plant indoors though and have it sexed before it even goes outside. I will also try my hand at autoflowers.

Hmm prob is when im working 4-9 nine shifts I couldnt cover her up... I think ill just let nature take its course, well sort of, ill cover her at night so she doesnt die from frost and let her go as long as possible.

there you go man... you could cover from 9 to 9 tho for a week or so and that will help it get started...

Would lightly throwing a tarp over work? Its alot of work for me to put this huge wood cover over it, I need help to lift it. I would still have problems with covering her up, because even when I work till nine, sometimes im there till ten finishing up. I could get my parents to cover her with a tarp though, I think it would be to much to ask for them to heave this huge wooden box over top of her.

You might as well just let them go naturally then bro... Its just not ment to be...

Hate to see her get wasted. Oh well its my first grow, live and learn. Next years planning is already taking place, its so far away though! Im going to have to get a autoflowering strain.
