I have some powdery mildew going on in my growroom.
I have a sulpher vaporizer that I just bought but have never used one before.
My room is 7' x 12' and I have 25 ladies. How long do I need to vaporize the
plants for? I lost the directions but I remember it saying to do it at night.
Anyone have any experience with this I can learn from? thanks

Might help if I had a name to look up. Who did you buy it from? This is all I could find.

A sulphur vaporizer is the ideal instrument to overcome common diseases of plants. It is extremely suitable for greenhouse use. The sulpher vaporizer works by changing the pH on the surface of the plant, causing an unsuitable environment for fungal growth. The same pH change will significantly slow the reproduction of pests - acting as a means of pest control. It is very effective on most plants where the following are present: powdery mildew, thrips in flowers and vegetables. One unit is capable of treating up to 1000 square feet.

And found this:

 Eco Plus Sulfur Vaporizer
Code: SV500
Price: $124.99
Quantity in Basket: none
The ideal instrument to overcome common diseases of plants. It is ideal for greenhouse use.

How it works... The sulfur vapors change the pH on the surface of the plant causing the environment to be unsuitable for fungal growth. The same pH change will significantly slow the reproduction of pests - acting as an effective means of pest control. Good for Powdery mildew and thrips in flowers and vegetables. 140 Celsius is ideal vaporizing temperature, capable of treating up to 1,000 square feet. Suspend 3' away from combustible surface. *Sulfur not included*

But at $125 there are cheaper ways to control these problems.

Why don't you just try avoiding fungal growth....Fungis needs dark moist places to thrive...Try regulating temperature....Sulphur Tastes exactly how it smells.
It is also a leading chemical cause of death ammoung miners (gold, coal, diamonds,ect..)
See this is why weed should be legal or weed should come with a warning label..
---This plant may contain sulphur----

I just got one too -- the dudes at the store told me I can use it up to a week before harvest -- that way you don't taste the sulphur on the buds.

before I resorted to trying one I tried just about every product mentioned on this site and other sites. It's my first experience with p.m. and it is relentless in late flowering. It came in on some clones, I sprayed sm-90 a couple of times and didn't see a trace of it for a month to 6 weeks, then wham, it came back big time, maybe from the original contamination, maybe from my outdoor garden which is nearby the growroom - that's where the fungus gnats came from last crop.

powdery mildew is a nightmare!!!

Well thanks for not sharing the answers you found:-?

No kidding, it does no one any good at all unless you share your experience with others. UHG

I am 4 weeks into flower and I used a sulphur burner for the first time last night. I burned for about 3 hours. It smells horrible. I did it in my garage and my garage is connected to the house, when I opened the door my wife flipped out. Rotten Eggs. My grow room wasn't all that big. I had no need to run the burner for longer than that. I used Serenade for the last week about 3 times total. Then I burned to say the least all my yellow leaves showed pretty bad burns. I had to clean the plants up quite a bit, like remove 10% of the fan leaves. This really sucks. I guess you cannot tell the mildew is gone right away, I can still see it on a lot of the leaves but I am pretty sure it is probably dead. For anyone else out there dealing with this I feel for you, this is the first time I have ever experienced this crap, and hopefully the last. I would like to burn again, but I will have to fight my wife to do that. Crazy ill tell ya. :wall:

best thing you can get for a small crop ....greencure www.greencure.net ODERLESS...ORGANIC....Can be used up to the day of harvest

GreenCure® is applied with spray equipment using a sufficient volume of water to insure complete coverage of all stems and foliage.

Mixing Instructions: Dilute GreenCure® with water before applying. Carefully measure and mix the stated amounts of product and water. Do not use more than the stated amounts.

GreenCure® is packaged in an 8oz., convenient to use, wide-mouth plastic jar. We include a scoop that has both a 1 tablespoon measurement (1 tablespoon to the gallon) and a 1/4 teaspoon measurement (3 1/4 teaspoons to 32 oz. of water). The little scoop is convenient to use because it fits in the opening of a small spray bottle.

One gallon of this solution is sufficient to treat approximately 450 square feet. Apply the solution to all exposed surfaces of the plant. Use a sufficient spray volume to obtain complete coverage of all foliage and stems. Uniform and complete coverage is essential for the most effective results.
GreenCure® is packaged with this free measuring scoop:

Plant Disease Prevention: GreenCure® can be used as a good preventative control of powdery mildews by applying 1 tablespoon per gallon of water every 1 to 2 weeks when environmental conditions are ideal for the disease. Preventing an infestation by using GreenCure® will help you maintain healthy, vibrant plants.

Plant Disease Control: In cases of moderate to severe infestation GreenCure® can be used to eradicate plant disease by spraying plants completely with a mixture of up to 2 tablespoons of GreenCure® per gallon of water weekly for 3 weeks followed by the preventative program thereafter. GreenCure® kills mold / mildew spores within seconds of contact by causing an immediate dehydration of the spores and destruction of the cell walls. Many of the deceased spores will slough off or be washed away with the next rain or watering. In most instances, leaves can recover, however as with any wound, scars and discoloration can remain. If you prune infected leaves, stalks or branches, they should be disposed of in the trash, because composting will not kill the mold spores.

Application Timing: Start application at first sign of disease. For best protection, repeat at one to two week intervals until conditions are no longer favorable for disease development. Spray more often during rainy weather or during periods of high relative humidity. For appropriate crops, GreenCure® may also be applied post-harvest to remaining foliage to decrease overwintering inoculum.

A word of caution to any first time sulpher vape users; TURN OFF ALL VENTILATION EQUIPMENT WHILE VAPORIZING!!! If not it can precipitate and condense onto EVERYTHING. You have been warned. Also, the burn times listed in one comment on the first page are for greenhouses, not indoor growrooms. You have to adjust for the area you're covering. For most peoples setups a 15-30 minute vape time is plenty sufficient.

First....I would never run a sulfur burner later then 2, maybe 3 weeks into flowering. I can't see running a sulfur burner 7-8 hrs a night 4 weeks into flowering....YUCK!
Taste like chewing on a book of matches.
I run my osculating fan when burning, but that's it!

I realize this. My point in responding was as a general instruction for anyone who sees this thread.
LOL Ok.

I've seen in several places where they say to wet the foliage before the burn. I've never done this nor have others I know that have sulfur burners. Just seemed counter intuitive.

Anyone wet their foliage before a burn?
