I normally grow my plants outside, but since i'm moving in an apartment i'm going to start growing them inside.
so i'm fairly new at this, could someone give me a price range for lighting.. ect for indoor growing? thanks.

Welcome to indoor growing! Well since you posted for advice in an led users thread, I'm only going to speak on your led lighting options. You can always go hps but in an apartment id definitely suggest led for the obvious reasons.

A quality led panel can run you anywhere from about $300 all the way up to $2,000. It all depends on how many plants you want to grow, what size space you're working with, stuff like that.

For cheaper solutions that many use and are satisfied with are the Blackstar line which you can find for just under $300. The lights I use and recommend are a little more expensive and those are AdvancedLed extreme flower models. The 180w is about $500 and produces like a 400w hps, their 360 runs about a grand and reportedly outperforms a 600w hps which I can totally see as possible. Other lights to considet are the pro-grow series from hydroponicshut.com, Blackdogled.com, and spectras. There of course are others out there that work just as well as these too. Just make sure you find one with 3w tech, more than 120w of actual draw power, and a solid warranty. If theres anything else you are wondering about id be happy to try and help you work thorough choosing a light to roll with.

Yeah, it's a nice strain to grow. My first time growing it, never smoked it, in fact I hadn't even heardof it before. But the guy at the dispensary knows his clones and recommended it to me saying how beautiful they become. Should be some frosty nugs when done.

I've seen the finished product, and brother it has high bag appeal. This is the only grow(too my knowledge) in my searching. Either way they look healthy albeit a little stretchy (no biggie); possibly a height adjustment issue (never used leds so don't know really). Bin lurking this site for led info for a long time but no personal experience with them....YET.
Still deciding on a Manufactr.....lots of scammers and spammers in the industry unfortunately.
Well anyways keep up the good work, clean grows are big plus in my book and yours looks real good....

Hey bro its me dinafemhazeauto i just lost my password for both email and RIU so i had to create both again...I'm still rocking my 600w Quatum with a cooltube...I have 2 K-Train, 2 Industrial Plants, 1 California Hash Plant..I'm 9 days into flowering and waiting for my bitches to start budding...For whatever reason my plants didnt start alternate noding(bud sites) until i switched to 12/12 after 35 days from seed i had anywhere between 8-12 nodes and 11-14 inches tall...But i think they should start budding soon as they have grown budsites out just waiting for pistils, they have shown sex tho..I did cut a few roots on trying the tried method of transplanting(NO MORE TRANSPLANTING FOR ME)...How long do u think before they start throwing out pistils??Never done photo's..I'm also moving to michigan to be a caretaker..

Thanks for the kind words. It feels nice to be recognized for something we put our hearts and souls into. Well, now I'm just excited to see this snow dream finished from what youre saying im hoping for some fire. But yeah the stretching was from height control. I didn't mess with the light to canopy distance other than raising it once at start of flowering. My yo-yos broke and I just said f-it but I wont be doing that again. ive decided next time i'll be doing some
super cropping for sure.

My guess is youre seeing pistils now?

Thanks bro, all is well. Just had a busy weekend. Checked on my girls before work this morning and they are developing nicely. Will update with pics later this evening.

Yeah i saw my first couple of pistils yesterday..been like 10-12 days into 12/12...I'm thinking about pinching the tops becuz there all about 6-9 inches away from the light dont really wanna top them as all of my branches grow up and not anyway...Glad to see al is well and ttyl bro..

Doing their thing all sexy. I have to start bending the tops soon because I didn't stay on top of things. Today is the first time I really got to look at them in a while and I'm really happy how this round is turning out.

Had to start bending the top branches since they were basically touching the light. Been working on them a little bit each day. Right now theyre sitting at about 45 degree angles with my goal to get closer to 90. Next round I will definitely put more effort into canopy control beforehand. Leaves are starting to get sugar coated too. Still tough to estimate what kind of yield i'll be getting, will know more in the next couple weeks. New pics later tonight.

Hey PUFF looking good bro...Yeah i pinched mine to a 90 degree angle and they bent themselves right back up(just the tops not the whole 8 inches i took by pinching them) in 9 HRs i was shocked how fast they did it..

So I just placed an order for a new led light. It's an upgraded version of my current light, but should perform at almost double the production while only running 20 more watts. Light should get here in 1-2 weeks. Haven't decided if I should use it this round instead of, or in combination with my current light, or just wait til next round? hmmm...decisions decisions....

Thanks for the compliment on the ladies! The girls love to be acknowledged, ya know? Yeah these lights look pretty promising, if they're even remotely improved upon their current lights I'm using now, I'll be happy (not saying there's anything disappointing about my current light, just any improvements I know will be great). I actually just posted a little bit of info that was sent in their latest newsletter email over in the LED Users Unite! thread, check it out.

Yeah pricing is going to be key, but they should be decently priced. I got locked in at the promo price for a full year because I bought one now. No clue what the regular price will be though. I'll definitely get some pics up when it arrives, maybe do some comparative shots between it and my current light.

Will update on the girls tonight. Slowly introducing the pk 13/14 over the next week or so. Also turned on one of my far red spotlights this week and had to tie my bent top branches to the walls for extra support. Pics later on today.
