If people elect a republican in the 9th District, does that mean that all those voters are fools?

If it happens, and there certainly isn't anything guaranteed yet, is that the attacks on the Tea Party and excuses for Democrat's failing economic policies aren't being swallowed anymore. The MSM is in full barrage mode, parroting and parroting the administration's talking points, but it ain't working.

That's the problem with reality, eventually you have to face it.

Absolutely not true. It is, in fact, the MAJOR reason for increased healthcare costs. Obamacare has nothing to do with healthcare reform, it is simply the government wielding it's power to make the healthcare and insurance companies fat. The ONLY thing that will reduce the actual costs is to allow for competition. Government regulations only get in the way. I have talked to many doctors and they all agree, it's government interference that drives up costs.

So that makes it ok, then. Some healthcare reform. If you really need it, sorry, you die.
If I am a healthy person who rarely gets sick and do not need medical attention, I still have to pay... THAT'S FAIR!!!!
You are completely mistaken. The Canadian healthcare system, as noted above, is a public, government-run system. It delivers healthcare of sufficient quality that Canadian life expectancy is slightly HIGHER than American. It delivers it for about ONE HALF the price. Look it up.

Your argument about competition is cute, but doesn't work in the real world. Corporate power has grown so large, so unchecked that it has subverted the 'democratic' government that is supposed to oversee it. It has captured big government, which is now run in the interest of big corporation. Corporations make much better profits when they stop competing with each other.

As I said, the American system delivers the same product for twice the price. That's a lot of profit. That's a rigged system. Don't just blame the government. Blame the corporations that have taken it over.

Did you miss: "... the government wielding it's power to make the healthcare and insurance companies fat."
By the way, who made the laws that allow those companies to gouge their customers? AND, who routinely fails to make sure these companies are not ripping people off?
I remember a time when most people did not have health insurance. My parents had catastrophic type insurance in case of a debilitating accident or long term illness but for routine office visits almost everyone paid cash. It was affordable then, why is not affordable now?

Republicans seem to be the party that always says, "I don't use it, why should I have to pay for it?". They can never conceive of a day that they may need that same program. "I am healthy. Why should I have to pay for the healthcare of the sick?" BECAUSE YOU WILL PROBABLY GET SICK ONE DAY, AND USE THE SAME PROGRAM, you are just too damn stubborn to admit it.

Not so good at math? That is ok......It is not as affordable now because healthcare costs have risen at a much higher rate than inflation. Also the profit based market we all go to is just that.....adding profit to healthcare. Back in the day, our parents used to have a family doctor that worked much differently than they do today.....housecalls were much more common back then, also.

You are right. A Ponzi scheme requires deception. If you do not hide the fact that new money is used to pay benefits to more senior contributors, then it's not a Ponzi scheme.
How is Social Security a Ponzi scheme
But
A company Retirement Plan is not a ponzi scheme?

What will it mean if the Democrats lose the 9th Congressional District tomorrow? Big deal or not?
Jack, you seemed to have dodged my honest questions entirely.....did you envision yourself as a person with health care as a young man, and see how having that universal health care would have changed things? Meaning you would not have had to claim bankruptcy, or go through that guilt of not paying your bills, or the stress of not knowing how this was all going to work out? Can't you admit to yourself and others that you would have been better off with universal health care? It would have saved you from all of that stuff, and saved all of your creditors from getting screwed, too. I think it would have been a good thing....

"We used to hustle over the border for health care we received in Canada. And I think now, isn't that ironic?" --Sarah Palin, admitting that her family used to get treatment in Canada's single-payer health care system, despite having demonized such government-run programs as socialized medicine that will lead to death-panel-like rationing, March 6, 2010
