That is unbelievable. I too grow using CFL's all the way to flower. I supplement the undersides with Floro tubes. This has me thinking of not investing in a MH/HPS

well...I yet am not very informed on this method of growth and I do not know yet very well the process. i am afraid to do a mistake and put all over the water on my floor....
plus its very more work for almost nothing... i will maybe try it with one of my other rooms..... i let you know

Hi, nice grow but i don't know about this:
would HPS grower say "I'm growing with CFLs from now on. With HPS my plants grow too small."?
my opinion - you can get more from shorter plant if she is has more light.

The man is getting between 1 and 1.5 pounds every 4 months doing what he is doing, I think he is doing pretty good with this set up.

Damn Dude that is one sweet set up you have. I too am growing with cfls, just 4 23watts, still sooking for some 43watters. Man 1.5 pounds Is sweet!

I have been studying. The Lumens you get from CFL can be more easily absorbed than those that are emitted from HPS or MH the KEY is bulb proximity to the plant. You want light as close as possible on EVERY leaf! Supplemental light for your undercarriage is Neccesary with CFL. I have this same set up ATM. My problem is the CFL's are only available in a low kelvin, so I use them In conjunction with tubes. I will Be Investing in a HPS/ MH conversion kit. I will use this in conjunction with my floro's, this is tricky however, How do you keep the CFL's close to the plants, and still allow light from the MH/HPS from above at the plants? Maybe i will rig something up so i can move my cfl's to the sides of the plants, and keep the HID over top. Any Ideas are helpfull.

i like your set up muh man .... i hope u get 1.6 elbows...but i am guessin more like 7 ounces (this is only my opinion)...i bet running those florouscents didnt even bump that eletric bill 12 bucks a month did it....keep up the nice work and i think your plants look very clean and healthy
