I'm growing 3 strains this year.....
4-Medijuana's which finishes up the 1st half of September.
4-Mad Purps which finish up the first part of October.
4-Sr-71 Purple Kush which finishes up the middle of November.
Makes things easy to keep tract of that way.

Damn good plan. That way everything isn't done in a 2 week shot and you have time to trim and you're working off of proven stock. I'm going the other direction and doing 6 plants, 6 strains. None that I have grown before so hopefully they all have the same eating habits (yeah right)

Trouble is, I'm a seed/clone addict..have 5 kinds of basil and 3 tomatoes strains chosen to grow this year already. So far for 2012 I have Super Sunk, Strawberry Diesel, Pure Cush, and Chem 4 already vegging as mothers, and just picked up Blue Dream clones to add to the "herd".

Do I need to be more ruthless about choosing strains? And then...there's the breeding aspect....which is where I'm heading. I need hints about the physical tools that make it easier!
Strawberry diesel sounds damn good. Any pics of her?

Two weeks.....BAHAHAHAHA.....
I harvested 4 SR-71's last fall, started trimming on them November 7th and didn't finish until the 7th of December. I had branches hanging on Dec 10th when I was partying at the BBQ Camp Far West! I worked everyday accept one during that stretch. I yielded a few lbs off them 4 girls, well worth the trouble.
Good luck on your new 6.....

Would LOVE to get a cut of that Mad Purps TMB.. :D
Your on the list ABM...
I should have a few cuttings at the BBQ on 4/20. If no cuttings I have some seeds you can have. They're a bit old, 6-7 years, but I just popped a few on X-mas day and they look great! I'm sure they're feminized too, I've never had a male come from these seeds. If you can wait until 4/20 to get them we can cross paths then, or shoot me a P.M. if you need them sooner, maybe with a light....;-)
Let me know...

Ouch.. So if the numbers hold true this year you're going to be trimming for 3 months straight. My worst nightmare :-( . We need to all get in on a group buy for a twister machine or depending on how my year goes this time I just buy one and go on trim tour. Has anyone had luck with a trimmer around the $2000 price point? Last year I got one of the hand crank ones for a few hundred bucks and it was crap.

They had a decent $1k one over at my local hardware store, but I met some new friends and I made them all do my trimming.....we need to assemble teams of trimmers to conquer the harvests it is the only way!!!

Back when I had my indoor grow I had a crew of 6 to 8 girls that would come over and knock out the trimming on a long Sunday session but they've all moved. Now I'm super secret incognito so the only crew I can put together iss with the guys standing in front of home depot looking for day labor... But then I wouldn't be too super secret.

I work solo, the wife helps when she can, but I do 90%-95% of the trimming.
I sometimes get help, but this year it just pissed me off with the excuses why they couldn't show up to help. I would have plans and they seem to always fall through with my extra help getting here.
My sister did come by one day to help, but we had more fun getting stoned and bullshitting then we did work...lol
It's a labor of love my friend...

Many of those guy's out front of home depot, have trimmed a ton of buds.
You just have them lay down in the seat for a few blocks before you pull into & close the garage. They won't know where they are.

I have said it before and I will say it again...... FUCK TRIMMING! LOL
lol...Last year was our first legal grow and my grow partner and I were like little kids the entire summer. But then....turns out growing is kind of like hunting. The fun's over when you pull the trigger (chop) and the hard work begins. Even having too many strains, which did stagger harvest, it went on and on and on.

I know I need different scissors, but did come up with a combination I could alternate to sooth whatever part of my hand was cramping! :-/ Has anyone ever tried electric sewing scissors?
