Why are my buds so small?

Hey guys I'm 4 weeks, 5 days in and I'm a little concerned my plant looks good but the buds are quite small.

Setup:
- 400W HPS lighting
- Vita grow line up (Super micro, Super grow and super bloom)
3TPS for super micro, 0 super grow (Nitrogen in it) and 2 TPS of Super bloom
- Shooting powder mixed in just upped the last dosage
- together the NPK number is 0-21-33
- 5 gal. buckets
- water every 1-2 full days or whenever the soil dries up
- PH balanced to 6.2-6.4
Don't mind the burnt tips I nuked them a bit.

Your plants look good man! Let them do their thing and keep everything going the way you got it! Your setup sounds good and like BKbbudz said you havent gone through fattening stage. Your close though! ;) Give the ladies some time, it is also strain specific also! Kush's don't pack on weight, vs strains like Northern Lights or any other heavy producer. I know you are wanting alot, but what really matters to me is when the lighter meets the weed!

no more like 2-3 weeks then flush .. what strain is it ? and wat do they reccomend? .. and too much nitrogen in flower will cause smaller flowers.. but they look good.. id be worried if ur a week or two away from harvest and there still that smal.. id suggest a PK SPIKE right about now.. if u havent already..

Flushing = washing your roots and nothing more, if you don't smoke roots, you're wasting water.
Those ladies look good man. IMO ease back on the nutes a smig, lil tip burn, but nothing bad at all, thats just 'the' sign to ease back imo. keep up the good work!

4 weeks 5 days since the plants have begun to flower? or that is when you changed the lights to 12/12? Those buds look about 3-4 weeks into flower, dont you worry, those buds will continually swell every day, you look at the same picture you just posted in a weeks time or in two weeks time, and I can guarantee you, that you will be impressed by how much the bud has grown in size. :bigjoint:

It's a Kush strain not sure which one my medical dude gave me the seeds its either Kush or Diesel it looks like Kush though.

They put on the most size and weight in the last half of flowering, So don't worry

this is the crucial time m8 , some strains just pack on the weight later, your plants do not look bad to me
i have had many strains that look quite bare at 4 weeks, then by 6 weeks they are fat
others have developed colas by 3-4 weeks
all depends when it has its main growth spurt , some are early some are late, some grow more even
if its still like that by week 6-7 then i would worry some

Dude, you're fine. Just like everybody else said, buds don't start getting fat until the last 2-4 weeks. Keep the plant healthy and within proper temps, and you are going to like the final swelling.

dude those look glorious if theyve only been showin hairs for 3 weeks,if u want em to use as much energy as possible for the colas though id suggest removal of lower popcorn buds/chutes and reassessing the distance from the lights.are they dense yet?

Thank you everyone hella helpful this is my second true plant the first one got fucked up pretty bad I was using the nutes wrong so I was just getting some advice to make sure. Terrycodone to answer your question yes they are starting to feel harder to push together but not dense dense. So this looks like I might have some fire on my hands? haha

Very nice plants bro shit looks good. I basically count my flower not when I turn to 12/12 but after I notice the flowers then I count but I know everyyone does it different. But I'll rep you ++ for looking nice & healthy. Roll tru sometime check out my lovely ladies have some OG Kush, Platinum Bubba Kush, Kaboom, Kryponite Kush & Double Dream going under my 600.

You should not start counting your flowering weeks from 12/12 flip but from the first time you see pistols and true bud formation which is usually around 2 weeks after 12/12 flip (It takes about that long for the plant to recognise the change in photoperiod).
When you buy seeds and it says it's an 8 week strain it means EXACTLY that, it takes 8 weeks of flowering to finish NOT 8 weeks of 12/12. If you say you are 4 weeks 5 days in then your timing is out, you are actually around 3 weeks in (for an 8 week strain and most Indicas are) and have around another 5 weeks to go.
You have burn't them due to the Shooting Powder that you have used too early, Shooting Powder is a late bloom booster and should be used in the final 2-3 weeks to fatten up and finish the buds off. I personally would administer the powder midway through week 5, it will take a couple of days for the plant to uptake the nutes from the powder so by the start of week 6 the plant gets a good dose of P-K just when it needs it as the buds put on their final swell in weeks 6 and 7 before ripening and finishing through week 8 then chop.

The combined N-P-K you have stated is not too high (I use Mono-Potassium Phosphate at 0-52-34) but if you don't have a PPM or EC meter then you don't know how strong your solution actually is and can burn them easily as you have, it's not all about N-P-K but how strong a solution of that N-P-K you give them.

An EC/PPM meter should be your next investment.
