I can understand why some people won't call the cops... You ever been took to jail defending your property? I had the police tell me I couldn't do a damn thing about someone who stayed in my house for a couple days who decided to start moving MY Property out while I was gone. I went to jail because I walked away from the police full on tackle because I turned and was done listening to the bullshit... not a crime in my book. should have beat his ass first.

Nonviolent offenses should not be given jail time. Just Fines / community service and repayment to society, blah blah. Keep the violent ones locked up.

I highly doubt they are "rotting' in a cell for a couple years out of their life lmao. And Corporal Injury To Spouse/Cohabitant(domestic violence) only carries 2, 3, or 4 years by California state law.....I doubt the "woman beater" is "rotting" for a couple years too.
