lol k i cheaped out on light lol im using a normal one but i put my hand under buld as far away as the plant is and its quite hot and its only bin on for a couple mins.. and the tinfole lol i dono more heat for the roots and leaves i guess. and i just put it there

please answer. will this work?

Judging by looks without knowing the specifics, I'd come to the conclusion that it will not work. Lighting is definitely one of the things you don't want to cheap out on man.

it's a weed, it will survive....fucking pointless though. If your going to do something, do it right. Take my advice. spend $150 on 600w ballast and bulb. Look for .5g per watt. If u got space for 1, u got space for 5 sog

Geez kid...if you don't tell your Mum at some point she'll find out...trust us. Get rid of the plant if she's against it. If not get some "Y" adaptors, get some "real" CFL's, and hope for the best. Get rid of the regular bulb. In this case honesty is the best policy.

I got a good laugh at the desk lamb being hung upside down. Go get yourself a 2 x bulb T5 system for 50 bucks and ditch the upside down desk lamp. You can get a y splitter and run two cfl's off that but seriously the upside down desk lamp has got to go. On the bright side the plant looks really healthy and you have a ton of room to work with.

Dont grow in your moms house, she can get her house taken away because of what you are doing.

Unfortunately this will not work worth a fuck. One of my early grows I used three 300w incandescent light bulbs and I grew like a bowl.

There are a few problems with regular light bulbs. One is they are too red and out of the light spectrum weed prefers during veg and even flower. Two is they put out a small amount of lumens (light) for the wattage. Which leads to problem number three: heat. They burn hot like a regular HID, but only put out a fraction of the light forcing you to get the light close and tight to your plant and burning the shit out of it.

Save up 12 bucks and get a pack of two 23w spiral CFLs from walmart/home depot/lowes and get the 6500k color temp. That will be sufficient until you flower, then you will want to change it up to either 2700k color temp or even better... 150w HPS. Take it from me and my early shitty grows like this... having enough light is crucial.

Also, if his mom gets arrested for her son growing that piddly shit then something is horribly wrong with the world indeed.
