You're instincts are great- caring about young ones.
It's funny you should put it that way. In Navajo tradition, gays are considered the caretakers of children. It stems back to the creation story when the people had a fight about who was more productive. The men with their hunting or the women with growing crops and storing food. The fight became so bad that the men and women separated and decided they could do without the other. To make a long story short, they discovered they couldn't exist without each other, after all. Every role in the tribe was just as important as another. Several had perished from starvation and predation but the children were kept safe. The gay people were and are considered balanced. Containing both male and female attributes evenly. So they could move among the two genders with impunity. They took care of the children so not a single one of them perished. Finally the people came to their senses and resumed their life of harmony and balance.

Among traditional Navajos, gays are considered sacred.

Very interesting, never heard that before. Here up North the Inupaq call little ones (Icksy). That's phonetic spell. Just means little ones. Traditional story is they knew life was harsh so little ones were encouraged to enjoy childhood. I care deeply for my daughters.

One night I was sat at a table with a friend and her French workmates. We were eating tapas, drinking and smoking and one of the French guys asked me "where do you like to take it?" I knew straight away he meant 'where do I get my weed from?' I told my friend to behave herself but she was already cracking up.
