A college town like Boulder or Fort Collins drives the price of land up quite a lot, there isn't anything measured in acres in either of those areas near that price point. If you want to have a reasonable commute to a job in "town" there won't be any real land around the house, just a yard. Keep in mind that the weather can be pretty wild all over the state and there is a real winter for 5-6 months. Just because it was 50 today does not mean it won't be 9 tomorrow. Wind, fires tornadoes, weather is a factor. Traffic around Denver can be very difficult so serious consideration is warranted for where you live and work if near the city. If I was going to grow outdoors as a serious hobby, I would locate in either CA or HI for the year round growing season.

I work a a disp and alot of our phone calls are stores trying to sell us whole sale. Supply is plenty high. Everyone got their post summer round down. One guy said he has 1500 pounds in stock. Riverrock said they have pounds of 25 strains. Need i go on? If i had cash id sit on all of my weed till August and get top dollar.
Spent over three hours stuck in traffic in denver yesterday. I love living in my little town up on the mtn.

Here in the Springs, herb is generally in supply for street dealers and dispensaries. Yeah like every economy, demand will rise and fall just like supply. But more or less, say if you call your street #1, if she doesn't have what you're looking for, street doctor #2 will likely have it. At least in my area of the Springs, average bud is mids with occasional dank.

That was not the case in Colorado. The dispensaries opened and many were charging $50-$65 an 1/8th. Pretty quickly the prices started dropping. Now you can get a pretty good 1/8th for $25 and a pretty good ounce for under $200.
The prices would not have dropped 40% if the demand exceeded the supply.
When the recreational stores open in a year, I imagine people will be ready for it.
I don't see the prices dropping much more though.
I only use dispensaries for vape pen cartridges.

I'm willing to bet the recent fluctuation in price has more to do with the outdoor guys finishing with literal shit tons of herb and a lot less to do with 64, while I do agree

Outdoor alone didnt cause the prices to nosedive. Its the fact its not 100° anymore. Warehouse acs can actually keep up now summer is over. Plus the same goes for basement guys. If you dont need amps for ac then you can run twice the lights...

Sounds like whoever has that much surplus is asking too much or not advertising, around here all weed flys off the shelves to the locals and if they can they ship it out of state. even if the supply is higher than the demand here locally go anywhere else in the world. of course there is gonna be a surplus here locallly in colorado, lmfao, WE LIVE IN THE WEED GROWING CAPITAL OF THE WORLD NOW

sorry homeslice, that is FACT. i frequent all the dispensaries in this area and i talk to alot of owners and growers, good weed doesnt stay on the shelf period. even in lovely denver metro, if it does, its because you are asking way too much or its just shit phenos made by shit growers

The prices have dropped significantly since dispensaries opened. You can not deny that. The supply has been greater than the demand, Holmes. If not, the prices would go up. It is the law of supply and demand.
I also said that people are growing in anticipation of recreational sales. I don't think people are sitting on their thumbs waiting for government approval.

the only reason prices have dropped locally is because of simple market competiton, when the price of weed goes down in new york, london and tokyo then you have the effect of supply and demand. but all of my worldly and east coast sources tell me that you cant grow it fast enough. brah.
