Canndo, a Republican? I find that hard to swallow. He has been one of the most consistent and articulate defenders of small-s socialism on this board.
Of course, since the Republican Party has been mired in reinventing itself into more internally inconsistent new incarnations than the proverbial seven economists laid end to end, I can't assert that canndo is no Republican. This is meant not to tar canndo but the Party. Jmo. cn

I know the current market isn't free, but apparently you don't know much about your own philosophy, and yet you are asking about mine. There is nothing in libertarian socialism that says you can't trade, or even own personal property, there is just no ownership in means of production and vital finite natural resources. You would know that if you read A FUCKING BOOK BEFORE TRYING TO DEBATE ABOUT IT IDIOT REPUBLICAN!

I have read other philosophies including Marx, they just don't teach libertarian socialism in school because its retarded. Nor have I heard of it on the net until you. You have yet to explain how the economy functions in your vague society.
How are vital finite resources distributed? Does everyone get their own oil since chomsky doesn't believe in division of labor?

as was thomas jefferson, george washinton, paul revere, john adams, john quincy adams, andy jackson, teddy roosevelt, and all the other men who believe our republic should remain a republic, rather than embracing the mob rule of democracy, or the autocratic rule of the monarchy.

I Firmly Support Our Republic Of Sovereign States as laid out in the Constitution all the way up to around 1900, when we became a plutocracy ruled by demagogues and money men.

I did my own homework to criticize your philosophy. You haven't defined anything, you just blather on about a vague definition stating that it is "common ownership of the means of production and finite resouces". This is basically a political meme to make you sound smart. You can't expand on it at all because you have no idea how in the world it would work. Anytime someone asks you a question about it you call the words they use "not spoken in the anarchist society" blah blah blah. You are supposed to talk about political philosophies and defend them if its truely something you believe in. How is anybody going to ever know about Chomskys view if he himself just dodges questions with his ridiculous theories like 'people will want to work without compensation because people love to work'. I have looked into it, it is retarded, I am not going to go buy a Chomsky book because he is a ridiculous person. Good luck spreading your philosophy, LOL.

Aristocracy is the form of government advocated in Plato's Republic. This regime is ruled by a philosopher king, and thus is grounded on wisdom and reason. The aristocratic state, and the man whose nature corresponds to it, are the objects of Plato's analyses throughout much of The Republic's books, as opposed to the other four types of states/men, who are studied primarily in Book VIII.
The aristocratic state that Plato idealizes is composed of three caste-like parts: the ruling class, made up of the aforementioned philosophers-kings (who are otherwise identified as having souls of gold); the auxiliaries of the ruling caste, made up of soldiers (whose souls are made up of silver), and whose job in the state is to force on the majority the order established by the philosophers; and the majority of the people (souls of either bronze or iron), who in contrast to the two first classes are allowed to own property and produce goods for themselves, but who are obliged to sustain with their own activities their rulers, who are forbade to own property.
The aristocratic man is better represented by Plato's brand of philosopher: a man whose intellect and body have been educated for years in a rigorous system based on gymnastics and contemplation of art, and whose soul has been made calm by learning the Truth based on the Platonic Ideas. Plato says of this philosopher that he is the ideal governor of any state precisely because his soul knows truths and has experienced realities that are more powerful and joyful than those pertaining to politics. Thus this man is not tempted to abuse power in his own advantage, and through his knowledge of the true virtues, he is able to model the citizens of his state into a good life.
Learn about Plato (read a book idiot) before you tout him. I don't advocate this system, but I do understand it better than you do.
