Carmelisous

Here is an update:

2 weeks into flowering (ok, 15 days)

The taller more spindly plant is from a seed. The other two are clones.
The Seedling is flowering well. But buds on every branch tip.

The clones just started, but they looked tightly packed.

Also a couple pics of lazarus, the clone that was brought back from the dead.
She's actually doing OK. (in the clay pot)

The bottled CO2 is still being worked on.

Your grow op has exploded since your last update. Everything looks awesome, even the little revived clone named lazarus.
I think that you will find plants do much better with more co2 as well though. I think they produce much faster with it:hump:

Thanks. Laz is a pet project. Kinda proud (and surprised!) about bring her around.

The veg room has CO2 (paintball can) not much, but better then nothing.
I have the 20lb bottle sitting here in the livingroom (for beer brewing, cough cough)

I'm just sitting down now to figure out the controls layout for the 2 rooms.
I gotta run cabling between the 2, and trying to keep it to a minimum.
I also wanna get the LCD control panel and everything down this weekend. Gonna be work (maybe I should stop drinking beer :hump: and get things done)

Things are going well. Buds are actually looking like buds. Still kinda small, but starting to expand faster now.

Now I hear the plants will double or triple in size during flowering. Does that size increase mainly in the beginning? 'cause these plants have grown at least 50% already and its only 3 weeks.

Also when do they start to stink up the place?

From what I've read, 2x as big for indica and 3x as big for sativas. The majority of the growing occurs in the first month-ish of flowering but it does keep going.

Also, nice little setup you've got. I've noticed you are really into rigging up devices for your trips. Maybe I'll pick up a few tricks from you :)

Yea, it should explode with growth as the buds are starting to form. Mine has grown an inch or more in a day.

Cool Thanks.

Yeah, I'm a gadget/tech hound. The house is wired. I think its self-aware.
Funny to get an e-mail while away from your house.

Couple of pics of the gangly one.

Its like watching a time warp, mine are about a week behind yours and I see so much similarity.

You said you had a Co2 bottle from paintball, did you figure out a way to time release it? I happen to have one of those too and it seems like a good idea.

Also, aprox how tall are they?

The paintball can is in the veg room. It gets 3 shots an hour. Through a solenoid valve. The valve (and everything else) is controlled from a PLC.
Levels in the veg room aren't monitors, just adding in some. Oh! And the portable 'air tool' kit form Lowes That feeds the CO2 into the solenoid.

I have a 20lb bottle for the bloom room. Still finalizing that. I have a CO2 meter with analog output thats fed into the PLC, so I can adjust the ppm level. (1/2 quasi fuzzy logic, 1/2 PID)

Odd thing with that. I can get it from say 600ppm to 1500 ppm no prob, but it falls off FAST. Like back to 800 in 10 minutes. But then hangs tough at 700 and slowly drops to 600ppm. Meter is opposite side of room and lower from CO2 injection.

The 3 flowering plants are 2 clones @ 23 inches and one seed plant @ 36 inches in height.

Do you use Co2 during lights on or off? Also how do you have ventilation setup on your reflector?

I only run CO2 when lights are on. I just vent the room once an hour for 10 minutes(veg side) and the CO2 can't fire while the fan is on. If I run the fans full time, the controller will not fire the CO2.

(I'm rewriting the PLC program right now. Just finishing up Zone1, CO2, lights, water, and fan)

When the CO2 is on, the temps can be higher.

Maybe they really like the Co2?

in a Cervantes video I say that plants can use 5x the Co2 that naturally occurs in the air...

Quick Veg update.

Here is Momma Cass and Laz.

I x-planted Cass into that pot today. I knew she was root bound for a while, but held off to keep her small. (small? lol) But she was looking poor as of late. When I pulled her out (just wrapped 2 hand around the trunk and yanked) She was SO root bound. Cut vertical a few times around the perimeter. The soil is kinda compacted too. Water had pooled on top last watering.

(beer bottle in pic for scale)

I plan on flowering Momma Cass. (still scared!) I will flower her after this harvest. Being that she is gonna jump in height my thoughts are to use the 2 150W HPS on either side of the main cola. That way the bulb is as close to the other colas and the main (main a side shot) And give more room overhead.

Still thinking of a 400 or 600W HPS for next round. (would a 600W be that much more effective for 3 plants over a 400?)

Little Laz is doing well. Popped her into a 4 gal bucket. (got a before pic in here too)

Damn you BBB! Rotate your pictures bro!

I thought you said you liked good beer - Corona!?

Did you do any trimming at the bottom of the plants?

LOL! Yeah, when I opened the pics up on the 'puter they autorotated, so I though I was cool. (damn Mac's think too much for ya)

And whats wrong with Corona? Its the *perfect* summer beer.

Usually I drink, Becks, Bass, Corona, and Land Shark.

(though planning a trip to Portland Or, for some Zig Zag lager straight from the brewery, and a trip up to BC to grab some seeds)
