So.... i usually wouldnt post to one of these threads but i gotta ask, WTF is the point? I'm a noob. Ive done 2 grows. They both could have gone way better. okay thats outta the way. But seriously. Before i tried to grow a plant I spent about a year reading all i could here there an everywhere and it drove me NUTS. I finally figured out how to get real information, and that is to follow peoples grows. Not advice, not random threads about technique, follow the grows. That is where you can see things working, and know for sure. Know what i learned?

There are a hell of a lot of ways to grow good bud. Ive seen good grows in soil, hydro, tiny pots, big pots, hempy, dwc you name it. And for almost every single method ive seen at least one grow that was phenomenal. But thats not the end all be all either. You need to grow, you need to grow a lot, and eventually you'll get good at it.

My tomatoes were always shit, I am much better at growing bud. lol

Myth 6: Always PH your water and soups for optimal growth. BUSTED: Marijuana is a PH tolerant plant.

Optimal, and tolerant, two words in this case that do not go together. My car tolerates many different speeds, but it gets optimal gas mileage when cruising around 55-65 mph, whereas I get much worse mileage when driving 80.

So yes, MJ will tolerate different pH ranges, but for optimal growth, proper pH ranges for grow media should be maintained.

I can see this man right now. He is taking a break from a day of shopping for grow equipment. He just bought 8000$ worth of gear from "The Green Hydro Barn" and he is reading Eds and Jorges book as he types. I feel bad for you man. You are like me. I already posted but let me clarify. I think Soiless grow mediums and hydro is 'Dumb'. As in not a smart way to grow a weed. It is cool to see the hydroponics display at Disney Land Epcot Center. Hydro is a cool space age idea. The 'Future' of agriculture, when all the Earths soil has been ransacked of nutrients and there are 75 billion people clammering about. Go hyrdo then. but we have soil today and soil grow huge plant with dense frosty buds

I was going to sell all my equipment and quit growing. I was pissed after a failed summer grow last year. I was like Nullis and Jeffdog thinking that all the information on growing weed is to be found in 'Weed Books' or "Weed Webpages'. Then I found UB's threads. Also, I noticed my neighbors 18 foot tall Tomato plant ( she has it going again this year). All she had was a small bottle of miracle grow and hose water. Then it hit me. Growing marijuana is easy. Growing marijuana is fun. Growing marijuana is CHEAP.

Don't assume you're 'like' anybody here because you're not. If you fucked your shit up, followed 'advice' without confirming or seeing things in practice, you didn't do things proper to your situation; spent too much money and fucked up for whatever reason that is your problem. You are flat out being a moron and IMHO it's not acceptable just because this is the internet. The only reason I came to post here is because you had to go along and troll a thread in a forum (which you knew nothing about) with your irrelevant link, which you obviously didn't really understand.

If you want to be taken even remotely seriously by anybody, especially new growers, stop being such a douche. You're much too ignorant to get away with being as bellicose as more experienced and dare I say respected/enlightened members like the UBs. This isn't the god damned matrix; we're not all Agent Smiths. We are unique, individual people. We don't all grow the same way and we certainly didn't all learn to grow the same way. Many of us are not even exclusively Cannabis growers.

You like fruit? Do you like nuts? Do you like grapes? ...lets see what else... Anything you have ever consumed that has grown on a tree or vine or out of the dirt HAS NEVER BEEN FLUSHED. NUTRIENTS DO NOT EFFECT THE FLAVOR, TASTE, OF BUD. That is Genetics

Do you smoke fruit? Do you grow fruit? I grow some fruit; berries. I don't flush my fruit (don't flush my weed, I grow in living soil) but I can tell you it isn't all genetics. Not for fruit and not for good herb. Strawberry, blackberry, blueberries, raspberries are all acid-loving plants. If you want really good tasting berries, they need to have been grown properly! That means pH about 5.5 or lower, depending on what exactly is being grow, and a fertile soil.

IMPMAN, why is it the concept of a sealed grow room where you provide all aspects of the environment is so hard for you to understand? It really is pretty simple, If you can't bring fresh c02 in with air exchanges, you provide it with a tank or generator, you can't be so stupid as to see it uses.OR maybe you are just that stupid.
