Well of course. So everytime i go in for a physical My doctor orders a Vitamin D defiency test? I always wonder about this as I read the placard in his office from a pharmaceutical company that is selling Vitamin D. And no I cant use regular vitamin D according to my doctor. I need to have a prescription for the 6 dollar a pill Vitamin D that coincidentally is also on the Placard from the pharmaceutical company

Now let me get back to my experiences working as a Phlebotomist.

Doctors groups maximize profits by ordering tests from the lab that are unnessary.
The lab gets paid and the doctors get paid to "read" the results

Back when i worked for the lab. The doctors also got a "rebate" at the end of the year for the tests they ordered. More tests ordered. Bigger the rebate.

I quit my job because it was depressing drawing blood on people I knew wouldnt be here in a weeks time. Imagine having to wake up someone in hospice at 3 in the morning to draw blood. I knew in a week or 2 this person would no longer be alive. Why am I causing her more discomfort and pain? WHY? So the doctor can make his 70 bucks "reading" the test

I lost 40 lbs just avoiding paste and breads.

I lost 80lbs in 9months due to a 20 egg-white per day - diet, plus multi-vit, and Krill oil. ..and Phentermine from a doctor for 20$ per month, 50$ for interview. I forgot about that... I also received a Hep-B vacc my work paid for. I don't pay shit for health-care costs. BP was 150/90, now its 116/68. I paid in cash and said, I want drugs. fuck going natural.

It's my understanding that the Lifeline phones are paid for with the Universal service charge on your phone bill. And yes this was put in place under Reagan
