bag seed

so i just got 112 seeds from a quarter. 7.43 grams to be exact. obviously this was some real cheap shit, but i happen to be in the market for some seeds. i could use a little refresher/ would like to know your preferred method of germinating seeds? What color/size/shape are the most successful? And all the stuff i should keep in mind... Im going to be using a top-drip hydro system with a 400 W MH/HPS system. Your help would be much appreciated seeing how this is my first grow.

well because i am waiting on some seed from a friend that will be here in a month... in the meantime i wanna get this down so i dont mess it all up with good seeds. shit weed is shit cause people cant grow right. that doesnt mean i cant get decent bud from them. i just would like to hear some specific methods that have worked well in the past.

at the best u can hope for with bagseed is a slightly better weed than what it came from at the very best if u grow it as well as can be. for the sake of 25 euros man get some good seeds dont waste best part of 3 months growing bag seed

I gotta agree with you on this. So what that you got 117 seeds out of an ounce. That doesn't determine how good the plants are going to be. That could have been the last of 3 lbs and all the seeds fell to the bottom. Plus it is a good idea to grow some bag seeds to get the idea of how to grow. Why waste your money on experimenting when you haver some seeds right there.

Just pick out the darker ones that are nice and round.
I have grow for 16 years off and on and 15 of them were from bag seed.

Now I am a weed farmer.

Don't let people discourage you. Take the postive info and toss the rest

Bagseed isn't always shit weed. I'd say take out about 20, germinate and grow. If it turns out good, then hey, you got some practice and some good weed.

Yes, it's not always shit. But without having seen it grown well - by buying seeded bud - you have no idea, so it's a crapshoot.

Personally, I would assume that someone that lets their weed go to seed either shows little care about quality or grows outdoor. In either case, they put less care into strain selection than I would, and I would rather pick my own.

yes it was rather ridiculous that i got so many seeds. I knew i was buying shit weed- thats why i payed shit prices. thank you for the encouragement.

thank you. do you wet the toilet paper? i used the wet paper towel method on some other seeds and its been 3 days and no sign of splitting. can the paper towel be too wet? Ive also heard about just putting it in a cut of water until they split and then putting them in rockwool. anything will help...

ok cause i put plastic wrap over it and it held all the moisture in- is that bad? does it need to be able to dry out some?

is there any salvaging those seed? or are they toast if they havent split?
