Hullo!

After this is my first grow, I have no idea, when the plants are ready to be cut off. They are like 9 weeks in flowering time and they are not under hps so the resoults are not as good as if they were. So I'm asking you for little help - how much more??

depending on what smoke u want, you could go for the smoother hit and harvest now, or wait for a little more cough-lock rougher stuff, you'll get good results either way, cfls will produce a fine smoke if you don't mind those airy loose buds, good luck brotha

Hello! I thank you all for your answers. You've surprised me and offcourse convinced me. Yeah, it really might be time to cut them off. Here just some more pictures to show you how they look. They were under direct sunlight, it was just that there was not enough of it. The weather was really bad for like 3 weeks.

So, cut them??

the trichomes are the crystals, they should look opaque and amber color under magnification. I think you have a long time left to go. I am learning and forgive me if I am wrong, but aren't we all learning still. I am learning that if you can afford to not be smoking your plants and grow them they will yield massive buds, a bud will lose about 1/4 of it's mass on drying. If you think about it most of those buds won't fill a bowl. grow your plant until it starts to wilt, if you're patient you will know the day. The longest bud i had was nine months. at this point the buds are so ridiculously tight you'll shit. the thing is we were always told "just cut it when the hairs are red". THIS IS AN EXPENISIVE MISTAKE. Take my advice or leave it, I think you should buy weed if you have to, but let it grow. get hps. get ASK ED. have one experimental plant with each grow. stress it over water it over fert it.try to kill it....someday you'll learn something, it's a weed. it behaves like a weed, and if you grow a weed long enough it'll be a good, HEAVY fuckin weed. good luck, grow strong. NO STRESS

Once all the pistols (hairs) turn red, they will recede into their "false seed pods" they will swell with THC and the trichomes will swell to the point of almost bursting, they appear to be cloudy if you look at them close. they look like they're on their way but they still have some time. what are you using for fertilizer? what kind of lights? and I think you need to re-pot them. Otherwise, they look way dank. Keep it up.

The general rule is to harvest when your trichs are about 75% Red/brown but that doesn't apply to all strains. Your buds do not look fully developed yet, also, you need to stop giving nutes and just use water for the last week or two to get a smoother and cleaner taste. 25% of your buds weight is put on in the last 10 days or so.
If you are not sure, then what you are doing is the best idea, ask people on here and go with the majority and/or those who have experience growing your strain.
I am on my first grow but I have a friend who has grown for several years and I've helped him with many a harvest. If you have a few plants you should maybe just harvest one - or even part of one - and see how it is first before you cut them all down.
Good luck, I'm sure you will enjoy the fruits of your labour.
patience is key. theres nothing worse than spending a few months on something then nausing it up for the sake of another week or so.

Looks like you,ve done a great job so far.
