This is my first grow (and first post!), and I'm right about 2.5 weeks from when I planted my germinated seeds. I have 3 seedlings going on right now in party cups with holes in the bottom for drainage, and I am using six 26w 6500K CFLs (100w equiv) that are positioned about 3-4 inches from the seedlings. I stopped watering 3 days ago so the soil would dry up a bit and I could add some nutrients, which I did today. I got some Miracle Grow Tomato food (18-18-21), mixed up some per MG's recommendations, and watered each plant. I have also been rotating the plants under the lights every ~2 days. The plants are in a unused room that is open to the rest of the house, so I am thinking air circulation should not be an issue. I have also been debating whether or not to run a fan to strengthen the stems.

Concerns:
1. Two of the three plants are coming along not nearly as fast as the other one, and they are curling a bit.

2. The one that is growing the fastest stretched a bit when I first tried to get them going because the first week I tried to just grow using direct sunlight from a south facing window. I had to use a rubber band to hold it up until today, but the stem is still real thin.

3. The seeds came from some grass I got, and I was told it was something called bubblegum. Is it possible to decipher the variety just from looking at it?

Thanks in advance guys and gals.

P.S. I keep trying to upload pics, and they keep saying failed to upload. They are JPG files, and the size for each of the 3 pics are less than 800x800

Welcome to RIU :hump:

Get the CFL's as close to the plants as possible
Dont give nutes again for a month
Make sure your water is ph'd to 6.5
Transplant them into 2 Gal pots
Fan is a great idea

Try only loading one pic at a time

don't over fertilize them! you should not have fertilized them so early, and also the fertilizer you mentioned has a lot of phosphorus which isn't necessary yet. try flushing them if they start dying. I think you over fertilized.

Here are the pics from yesterday before I watered with the nutrients:

Here are pics from today, about 24 hours after the nutrients. The two smaller ones are kinda hard to tell from the pics, but they are much more green, and they are starting to develop additional leaves.

New pics as of about 5 mins ago. I think I'm gonna give the super tiny one about another week or so, and if it shows no signs of getting better, I'm gonna kill it. The medium size one has really started taking off during the last couple days since I fertilized, and the big one has shot up. Tomorrow, I'm going to get some bigger pots to transplant the larger one, and eventually the other into. The larger ones main stem is about 4.5" now and the soil in the cup is only about 4" deep. There is a slight amount of moss on the top of the soil of the two smaller plants cups and a tiny amount in the bigger plants cup. Should I be concerned? I am assuming it is from over watering perhaps.

I ended up killing that gimp sapling :( Here are the other two: If you look at the previous pictures, the one on the left/front with the greenest fullest form (Plant B) is the one that was the smaller of the viable saplings, and the tall one with some yellow leaf tips(Plant A) and burnt ends is the one that was previously the most mature. If you'll note in this thread I started today https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/293581-when-switch-veg-bloom.html I was wondering when the right time to start the bloom will be. From my response, it would seem that when the nodes start sprouting staggered, I should switch my lighting, and nutrients for bloom/flowering, correct? On a side note, Plant A is about 2.25' high, and Plant B is about 1.75' high, but much fuller. All constructive comments and suggestions are more than welcome. :P

Well I switched to a 12/12 cycle yesterday and added an additional fixture and swapped out all but two of the six - 6500k 26w cfls I was using for 2700k 23w cfls. So now I have six 2700k 23w bulbs, and two 6500k 26w bulbs. I can't see the sex yet, but as soon as I see something, I'll update with pics.

So to catch everyone up to speed, and sum up my other thread I referenced in teh last thread: The plants were switched over to the flowering cycle on January 20th. Plant B, which was the fuller/bushier one, turned out to be a male, so it was killed. The other plant is really thriving now. Some of the early leaves started to curl and showed signs of potassium deficiency, so I got some bone meal. All new growth is looking very healthy now:mrgreen:.

Anyway, here are the latest pictures from a couple mins ago. Tell me what you guys think so far, and how much longer you would guess these buds have to grow till harvest. Personally, I'm thinking at least another 4 weeks.

your plants look really nice, but I'd say you got a lot longer than 4 wks to wait on em. Especially under cfl's, with bagseed. more like 6-8 weeks. It'll be worth the wait though man. keep up the good work.

Today marks the 4th week since I switched to 12/12. Here are the latest pics:

great job considering the problems you had in the begining those look great.... btw when plant start to streatch just keep burying them up to there tea leaves

Here are the latest pics. Right now, she stands ~3.5' tall ~3' wide and growing steadily each day. There are about 30 branches that are all budding and they average between 1-1.5' long each, with about 9 bud sites on each branch. I was hoping to get around .4grams per watt(190watts) ~76grams.

Any speculations to final dry yield yet?
