well how can you know for sure that its pure LSD, its not like you can look at it, or smell it, its a clear liquid with the viscosity of water, and is completly odorless.. unless you have seen this dude make it, dont trust that its olny LSD, or pure for that matter.

theres no chemical reaction, its just that salt is an abbrasive, like sand paper, rubbing alcohol in the solvent, and the salt helps scrape it away.. nothing special.
