Tcurtiss is right. I learned about Root Bound the hard way, my yield dropped significantly and also had nutrient problems all the way to the finish line. If you cant afford the height for bigger pots you can make really wide pots from all sorts of containers. poke some holes in the bottom and...
Yeah, i think im gonna just ride it out, its my first grow, ive learned a lot and will be doing my next VERY differently. Thanks for all your input guys
I started off with separate pots. and planed to stay separate, but i had problems with my grow box and made a bad decision... oh well ... live and learn right! the plants are very healthy, although not to full potential.
Thanks for all the input guys, I also think the tall plant is male because it is lighter in color from the 2 other plants. I have the cfl's on a light reflector hung on a string so it is height adjustable, but this limits me to only one height. I dont have any space for more im using a night...
This is my first grow with this box. i had heat problems at the begining and had to modify the box with a air vented light reflector ( homemade) But i scorched the plants when they were on their first node. Do you guys think i stunted the growth?
BTW 3 plants are in the same big pot ( bad...
When your plants are just starting out and your lights should be on 18/6 or 24/0. This is your vegetative stage, and you should be feeding your plants with "grow" nutrients to stimulate fast growth.
When your plants get big and you switch to 12/12 light cycle, This is when you switch to...
I have 3 plants (unknown sex). one plant is 12 inches high, the other plants are only 8 inches high.
My light fixture is 1 inch above the tall plant. I topped the tall plant at 11 inches hoping it would give the short ones time to catch up.
I want to start flowering soon ( Micro grow) but...
I Agree! i always water my plant by weight. The plant needs its root system to be on a wet dry cycle. If the bottom roots are always wet it may go in to root rot.
You Can run with mylar in a tight space if you have adequate Ventilation. I highly recommend a Air Vented light reflector for the cfl's. I built mine out of wood, cardboard, mylar, 2 cpu fans, and 4" dryer ducting.
The NM or wave length does make a difference. Peak chlorophil production for veg is with a BLUE 460 NM LED and flowering is RED 650 NM LED.
This means..... if you find the right place to buy LED's, know how to solder and calculate resister values, you could grow your own LED grow light at...
