I have considerable damage done to my plants by bud rot. The fan leaves are mostly checkered brown and yellow. Most of the buds LOOK ok. Everything I have read online says to throw the entire plant away as it’s not worth getting fungus in your lungs. My grower friends say to salvage what you can...

Same here in Massachusetts.

I am wondering the same thing about bud rot. My plants basically decayed overnight but there look to be some salvageable buds. I am tempted to cut out the bad parts and keep the rest but everywhere I have read online says trash the plants that’s infected bc you don’t want fungus in your lungs...
