I believe that this happens in flowering due to nitrogen deficiency. It looks fine to me. If you do not want this to happen, you can give it a nice dose of veg nutes before you flip to 12/12, ( will control the 12/12 stretch as well) and another dose of veg nutes at week 4.

Just get a $3.00 bottle of rooting powder from walmart lol. Seriously the stuff works great, I clone my veggies with a 90% success rate with the walmart powder and some promix soil.

yup, but you'll lose some weight because the plant was starved for three weeks of the flower period... If you use nasty harsh chemical nutes like MG then a week flush is good enough, if using organic nutes you can skip the flush. I just give my veggies plain water a couple times before I harvest...

Save your self the time and money and just go HPS now. Get a little 150 watt florolux (like $75) or a 250 watt hps from HTGsupply.com and maybe the T5's for side lighting if you really wanted to. You could use a $20 duct booster fan for exhaust if you can't pony up the cash for a inline and...

It's the bulb, as the bulbs wear they build up resistance until the point where the bulb will not fire up. The blue arching is the ballast trying to strike up the bulb, but can't do it.

A bucket of water under your light? not a good idea. electrocution, fire, bulb explosion hazard...
