Repped you for this post mate, very good thing to know for a new grower like myself. You can't go wrong with lighting but you can go wrong with the germination process.

Carbon filter, make one for £20 and attach it to your exhaust fans, you should see a difference in the odour, otherwise it isnt the pc that's giving off the bad smell ;)

Imagine if someone cut off your balls, you might die from blood loss (plant might die from loss of vital organs) or you might just die from losing the will to live (same with the plant). Kill it or else you will pollenate your females and your bud's will be ruined.

Cut the damaged leaves off, the plant will concentrate on growing soon after it makes amends, otherwise if you leave the leaves there and they are damaged, the plant will not concentrate on growing and instead will try to repair itself.
